This ghost spawns as part of the Forager Cycle of rare creatures.
No specific spawn location, no timer. Just keep killing froglok foragers
and eventually this one might spawn. Or if you are (un)lucky
you might be soloing and he spawns twice in ten minutes
like I had happen.

Kill foragers. Track. Repeat.

Wow so what ever happened to real information, you know like loc of the mob (somewhere in the NW corner above the river in those ruins.) or maybe how to spawn him? (I guess his placeholders include foragers? is that all? no hunters or ghosts?)
Well at least I know that a group of a 63 mage/30bard/77bst/ and maybe a cleric of some random level to top it off could take the guy. Sweet I may or may not have a chance now considering my completely different situation!

I'll post l8r w/ exact loc of the mob.

Hmmmm let me give you his location....oh yeah possibly anywhere on the map genius. He is a wandering mob and yes his placeholder is the foragers, nothing else.

Good luck posting with exact location, in the 20+ times I've killed him I have seen him anywhere from close to the ruins by Seb to the tunnel by Swamp of no hope.

P.S foragers are on an instant spawn timer, therefore as soon as you kill one another spawns. You WILL need a tracker or you will be just wasting your time.
solo easy 55 monk.

i soloed him with my monk when i was 55.. ok i had 28% hp left but i got the BP ... i walked in to him when i did the turn in to get my epic.

This guy spawned a dozen times straight a few months ago. Everyone in our group (who were only there for seb keys) got one of the Ikky CPs and another 4 or 5 of them rotted away.

I went back last night to get a couple guildies keyed for Seb and even hunting the foragers with extreme prejudice, he didn't spawn once in the hour we were there. (I was there to get a CP for my lil shaman and guildies needed keys so we went for it)

Seems to be entirely random. As for spawn points, every time he popped for us that first time, it was up in the NW corner by the little ruins just north of the stream. Good luck everyone going after him!

RE: Can I?

First, being 70 is overkill for sure on him (Cons DB to my 56 Druid)

Second, Time/GoD Geared turns overkill into something else I can't describe.

In short, you will OWN him in 1 to 2 minutes at max

Must be my lucky day, first first Dronik pops and 2 spawns later Zoglic does :)))) Both are part of forager cycle (for those of you who don't want to scroll) and pop as much as any other mob on the cycle. I can imagine that after hours and hours of doing the cycle and having neither pop that it can seem as if they are more rare but I've done this cycle often and its jst a matter of luck and jst keeping at it. This, aswell as the iksar hide mask, sells well and on AB I usually get rid of both for between 5k and 10k very quickly.
Crusader Down!!!

The other day I had this guy spawn twice consecutively for me in the cycle. Imagine my surprise when i killed him and immediately saw him up on track. Good thing I had my lil SK parked right by there for looting.

As a side note, you might as well not even think about camping this guy unless you can track. Out of the dozen or so times that I have killed him, he has never really been in the same place twice.
Spawn random or fixed

64 Ranger here. Went to TT yesterday and checked tracking, Zoglic was up and LB to me. He had a pet too, which conned green. (not listed above)Adds can pile up in TT so i hit him with a dot and ran full speed with him and the pet to the closest border. Snared and rooted him, then ran with the pet, killed pet at a short distance and then went back and killed CZ. He hits fairly hard and wasnt a pushover. Dropped the chestplate.

Ok, listen up: It is not at all a matter of "can a level whatever / whatever class do this mob?". It is a matter of getting this mob to spawn in the first place. You kill the forager, when it is dead either another forager or a named mob will instantly spawn. Your chances of it being Crusader Zoglic are not very good. A 62 pally and 57 druid made very short work of the foragers, thinking we would have great chances of spawning Zoglic at the rate we were killing the foragers. In a 3 hour period one night, we got Zoglic to spawn once, and he dropped the ikky (yes, it drops off him every time). The second attempt lasted 5 hours, yes, FIVE HOURS; and we did not get ONE iksar chestplate. We killed well over 100 foragers, with barely any named spawns and no sign of Zoglic whatsoever. The post where someone said they got 3 bp's in one hour just boggles my mind. That is not a common experience. At the most, if you are very lucky, expect maybe 2 bp's in a full night of doing the forager cycle. This item sells on Rallos Zek for around 15k since ldon came out, and would be a terrific way to make some cash, seeing as Zoglic is a very easy mob, if it were not for the low likelihood of him spawning. I am not sure of all of the exact specifics of the forager cycle, but from my personal experience Crusader Zoglic is the mob least likely to spawn in the cycle. The most common named mob that we got was Bloodeye, a named trakanasaur who drops an extremely crappy giant race only tunic, and giant race only legs. If you still wish to camp the forager cycle with the intent of spawning Crusader Zoglic and getting an ikky bp or two, I wish you luck. You'll need it. Be sure and bring some aspirin. :)

Think we could take it?

Last time I checked, a group of 45-54 people could take down a lv45-46 npc. He's not level frickin 60! My god!

could a 59 necro solo this mob?

Let's do some common sense thinking. You have a pet that's about your level, maybe higher since you get one at 58 or 59 i think. Ok.. Here's this npc almost 15 levels under you. Hm. every other necro level 59 can solo a mob that level easily with no problems. Anyway, if you have to ASK if you can solo a mob that far away from your level, you might be missing all your spells past lv30

hello i was wondering can a 55 sk and a 55 beastlord and a 54 druid take him with no problem?

Can a 63 Ranger solo this mob?

You're frickin level 63, you have a 428 heal that should easily take care of the initial harm touch if he doesnt resist it. He should con light blue. Light blue = a pretty easy fight. Dont be a ******.

My 51 Cleric, who isn't twinked, solos him.

Try killing anything in OOW zones that cons DB to you by yourself. Hell, I'd say even LB. Have fun getting your corpse and begging for a rez.
# Sep 09 2004 at 5:34 PM Rating: Decent
I'll tell you what. Go into runny eye, lets say you get in there at level 35. Go down, with all the gear you like, and fight Mold master. You should smoke him, your 10 levels above him right? Have fun getting your corpse.

Or Ill tell you what, go fight pretty much any of the Ingigo Brotherhood when they con EVEN to you. Kizdean Gix in Westcommons, or Fight with D'vin in Crushbone sometime, I have seen him kill 35's and even 40's. I have no clue how, so dont ask.

My point is aside from UNDERCONS (maybe you should look that up). You have different zones with different hitpoints, you have insane regen rates and NPC/MOBs/MONSTERS that use abilities and weapons not usable by their obvious class.

Have you killed this guy? Some mobs quad for huge damage, some summon, some complete heal. Just that alone you might get screwed, if its a close fight, or you have %50 health and the Mob complete heals itself. Other mobs might assist him, even the zone can come into play with adds, visibility, lava, pathing problems........ etc.

Now I aggree a LOT of people dont simply read or click the links provided, or even read the loot table. I understand that you have posted for this mob, my point is there are often details people are unsure of. yes, others post they can solo, god only knows what gear they have. dont be a ****.

Just use your druid. That way, if you happen to find him, you will have a 100% chance of getting the BP, since you wont have to roll on it. Just remember that he is a rare spawn; I have hunted him for hours on end, one time for 12 hrs straight, killing foragers every 5 min, and he never popped. Would have been better to go farm some gems and buy the damn thing.
RE: Just a thought
# Feb 22 2004 at 4:42 PM Rating: Decent
Definitely could...I killed him on my 56 Bard. I started the attack at 60% health as I had just killed the spawn with the Iksar mask and another with the Ghostly Robes. I saw him up and went after him. He died extremely easy, I had more problems with the green con adds that came along for the ride. The only casting he even tried on me was Fear, didn't HT me either. All those guys would likely be overkill. A Tank and 1 healer around 50 could do it easy.

regen 5
Not very useful at lvl 50+ when I, as a sk, have to have partner slower/healer to xp; or at least much buffs to solo.

Regen 5 doesn't help me much.

Yeah, if you have some healer class with you, you might not need it ... but some people are wandering alone through Norrath sometimes and if you add the five points to the normal regen (in my case these 5 points are 27% more) it is very useful ;)

ok heres the deal.

hes on the forager cycle. there are two foragers up in the zone at all times, either of these two can be replaced by a named that on the cycle. so the fastest way to get this guy is this, get a ranger have you wole grp auto follow the ranger who is tracking the foragers find them kill them on the spot. if both the hunters are up dont kill them, they will spawn crap names that will confuse you. you'll also want to get a chanter for the safty, chanter should save all mana for chain stuns, have three AoE stuns loaded there will be alot of greenie addage, they my be green but five of them, plus a forager / named can hurt
in the last 2 days i have had 4 regen Bp's drop. i know this works. faster you drop that foragers the better your chances are.
***added 9/10/2003***
up untill the 9th of this month there were two foragers and two hunters. i couldn't tell ya how long it was like that but it doesn't matter now cause theres only one of each after yesterdays patch. same stuff as far as getting him to spawn still stands but the chances have now been cut by 50% that he will, because theres only one forager cycle.
***end edit***

RE: good info.
# Oct 03 2003 at 4:51 PM Rating: Default
I don't think there is only one of each now because there was three foragers up on track at once today. ALso if there was only one that wouldn't really reduce your chance to get Zoglic to spawn because as soon as you kill the forager or a rare another one immediately spawns.

As a lvl 50 bard I find this camp to be a little difficult but possible. For instance, killing Harbinger Dronik was quite difficult (I charmed the other forager and it seemed to help a good deal in the fight).

Interesting quote at the bottom though..ha
RE: good info.
# Apr 02 2004 at 10:07 PM Rating: Decent
I haven't tried this camp yet, though I plan to, however what I'm noticing is that this sounds quite familiar- to the ring of the Sarnak Courier cycle in LOIO.
For that one, there is a list of PH's, although two on the list can also spawn outside of the PH list- so persay, although sabertooth tigeresses may be on the PH cycle, you'll see about three wandering around at the same time that aren't. I tend to maintain two PH's up at the same time while doing that camp (they respawn within 3 seconds of the last PH kill), though occasionally I can get three running, but at other times it sinks to one and I have to kill a few of those that aren't always on the list to find out which is holding it up.

Sooo... perhaps it's something like that going on here, but I can't be certain, obviously, seeing as I havent tried it myself. Just offering up a possiblity however. Correct me if this seems wrong.
