Me (a lvl 21 shammy) and my mate (a lvl 21 warrior) took the camp ourselves. Be careful for the evergreens as they are red to lvl 21-22's. If you see a giant with a weapon (save a pointy hammer) kill it. Most of them are Saplings or the like, and 2-3 people can easilly kill them. If you're soloing, be careful as they like to add if you have picked a bad spot. I went from lvl 21 to lvl 22 in about 3 hours of casual pulling. The weapons sell from 10-34pp to local venders depending on which ones and how high your CHA is. Also, if it's red, unless you're a twink or have 3-4 people, you're gonna die here. A bit of advice, if you enter from the cabilis side of the fortress (the entrance with no "guards") the go up on the left ledge. Rather safe, can usually pull up to it and not get many adds... but don't sit at the walls edge as the patrolling giants on the outside sometimes have the tendacy to attack you while in a fight. Having a shaman or cleric is a must... as healing after a fight can be a pain. Plus, shamans can SoW, and clerics can rez (duh). Both are extreamly nice. Either way, you'll loot anywhere from a few copper from these guys to two and a half plat. In my books, thats VERY nice. Have yet to see a forest loop though... hmm....

This giant is the easyest giant in WW they drop lots of words and runes also low lvled gems
can a 27 warrior solo some of these guys? or a 20ish monk?

Easy solo, my 24 Chanty can easily solo these. Just mezz, de-buff, root, nuke and BOOM! You have slain a forest gaint sapling. Looted about 3 Forest loops in one day =b
P. S- A note for all you chanty's killing giants. It's a good idea to have Illiusion: Iksar, so you can seel stuff quick. Other wise you will get encumbered fast off all the loot =)

Of corse, in fact if a lvl 27 coned one , its green they not under coned or any thing a lvl 20 monk can to but id think it would con dark blue or light bule

Me (26 warr) and my friend (20 cleric) went into WW expecting some hard hitting, fast hitting mobs of giants but ever since we have been there ( a couple of days now i think 4) we have never died so what ever class ye are just get a tank and a cleric and ye should be fine they hitt as hard as 45 but mostly around 30. if your killing them for money they drop maybe 3pp at most.

I have a 21 iksar monk with Wu's and some gnome skin, and I am soloing the black giants with no problem at all, they hit for about 45max and pretty quick, but they usually hit for around 15-20 per hit. Been killing them for about 2 days now, and havn't seen a forrest loop in WW. Anyone gotten one there, would like to know. Hope this helps :-)

i think that if you have say 2 lvl 21 peeps,with good wepons ect,u could kill any of these giants.i have a lvl 34 shm,im gunna blow these guys for money,but i have a lvl 21 monk(who hangs with a 20 ranger) & me & him kill these guys so easy,i use a fighting baton & cane of tranquil.theres no point asking whether u can solo em or grp 2 kill em,TRY IT!!!!!

They are worth 300 pp if you sell them to PC. If you sell them to merchants you will get around 200.

Hey speaking of know loot on these guys, does anybody know if this Lumberjack's cap is good for a Human Monk? Is it better then the Executioners hood? Send a reply and tell me witch i should get for a Human Monk, it's going to be my next main character so help me out ^_^

Why the hell doesnt anybody try to get in groups and kill these things between level 13 and 16. Im an Iksar Necro and it really angers me to see people hunting in kurns when there is even a slight chance of getting a loop. Even though they hit in the late 30's or early 40's it doesent matter. If you have a Necro, a Warrior, a monk and a shammy they shouldn't be a problem. Can somebody please clear this up for me. I think it is crazy though even if you have a TINY chance of getting loot that sells for 500pp off a level 15 mob its worth a try

People hunt in Kurn's due to 1. the loot drops required for various quests (ie. skeleton fingers) and 2. The rare chance at something like Solist's Icy Wand, which can be sold for 1k - 2k. Otherwise I agree, the forest loop is a cool doodad for mid level characters.

I'm a lvl 24 druid and I want to know what lvl can I get in a group to kill some Giants? and is WW or FM better for a lvl 24 druid? I want to loot some loops

Could a 17 iksar monk and a 19 iksar shaman kill these together? I would think so, but I need confirmation.

I have never gotten a Forest Loop off of a sapling. They spawn in the Fort in WW and do on occasion wield the weapons such as leg chopper and grub digger. For their lvl they hit fairly hard but are extremely easy compared to the rest of the giants. And even though the giants here do drop Loops they seem to be alot more commen off of the giants in FM but that could just be luck of the draw.
I can confirm this. In all my time soloing giants I have obtained 5 forest loops. None of these have dropped off of anything but greenwoods in Warslilk. The saplings for the most part do not even have weapons.

Hey, could i( being a lvl 19 warrior) and a 20 to 21 cleric partner up and hunt these, ir seems from the other posts that they are hard to find but Goddamn, a forestloop on a lvl 17 Mob? regardless if its a rare spawn, on Prexus they sell for 1k, so this would be sweet for me

Can monks solo these when they con yellow and black/white? Or do we have to wait for blue becuase we are tanks? Or, even have to be in a group? It makes me kind of miss my druid, but I don't miss mana regen time!

if you actually looked at the posts, you would see that greenwood giants drop the good stuff, not these weaklings.
