You say, 'Hail, Trooper Mozo'

Trooper Mozo looks upon you smugly. 'And what are you? Some sort of adventurer. Bah! You will be shaken by the first undead you come across. Wetting your pants you shall be. Ha ha! I doubt you could even [kill the decaying skeletons].'

Trooper Mozo is located in the Field of Bone at the East Cabilis Entrance, on the right hand side. His /loc is -2559.01, 3566.18, 7.85. If you are kill-on-site when using illusion Iksar (potion or chanter cast) then you need to go kill until you are dubious with the Legion of Cabilis (warrior guild all the troopers are on).

My suggestion is to kill the Iksar Bandits in Warsliks Woods as they give + Legion of Cabilis Hits as well as + Brood of Kotiz hits (necro guild, and only way to get them that is practical). You can also kill the goblins in Warsliks for faction hits for Legion of Cabilis. There are other options, but some of them impact other factions some players would wish to keep intact.

Once you con dubious be prepared to hand in many stacks of bone chips. My Drakkin necro handed in approximately 3k + bone chips before maxing out at dubious without illusions. Other races/deities would have a greater maximum faction (Drakkin and Veeshan are very low on the faction tree). This makes sense as 4x bone chips = 1 faction hit, so a stack of 100 chips is only 25 faction ups.

If you are standing between mozo and the burning torch you do not seem to garner aggro from the pathing-by crusaders. This was my experience, however I maintained my illusion so most of the time I was no lower than threatingly.

I found the best way to avoid crusaders when turning in chips is to pull Pendle to them (I do it with my lvl 10 shaman) and let them deal with him for about 20 minutes.

I do not know the total bone chips you ahve to turn in but, how ever many you have to turn in to any one that requires bone chips, i.e. mozo, the pally in the dwarf guild in kaladim north or into the guy in qeynos, how ever many you need to turn in you can put that into a stack and give him 4 of those stacks at a time and recieve the same as if you just did it 4 times. In other words in kaladim he wants 4 bc's, so you give him 4 stacks of 4 bc's and you will get the 4 exp and what ever he wants. this just helps save time than doing it 4 seperate times. Just trying to help.

Trooper Mozo is bugged though. Giving him 4x4 Bone Chips gives you 1 faction gain. I heard of this bug and I just confirmed it myself today.
All Npcs have that bug, 4x4 counts as only 4

I think its been in since the new UI. I first noticed it with xelha and her 4 bone chips x 4. I confirmed it with Pandos and muffins in west freeport.

Without knowing this, you could be doing 4x4 and seeing the faction spam and assume you are getting 4 raises, you are only getting one though. Currently npcs can only count as high as one per slot =/ I did not notice on pandos right away until someone gave me a tell in the middle of it.

Since then I tried to raise factions with pandos and mozo, it just takes too darn long now. I had 250 bone chips to give him and after that my wrist was killing me.

I am a 36 druid on the Sol Ro server and I am dub to the Troopers now. You can kill other things like goblins too. I went with my level 55 shaman friend (iksar) and raided the goblin mines and one of the ruins in the lake of ill omen. He needed FV faction and I needed cab faction, so I figured we could group and do the faction thing. Well I am dub to the guards now and still scowled at the crusaders. All that you need to do to turn in the chips when you are dub, is to have a look out and have him spam you when a crusader is comming near. Now if you are a non caster, I don't know what to tell you, but a caster just needs to invis (if you have time) or zone into cabilis. Now with me being a druid and worshipping Tunare, and reading the last post, I think I will still give it a try and get my crusader faction up. If you think about it, if you are getting faction for the Cabilis residents, the Crusaders of Greenmist, the Legion of Cabilis, the Scaled Mystics, and the Swiftttails, then just being capped on your Legion of Cabilis faction shouldn't affect the other 4 factions being raised. I know for about any diety, that if you spit on the floor, that is still higher faction than what cabilis has to you when you first start out, so it will take forever and a half to get the faction up with the crusaders. If it takes 2000 faction points for the cap then I will try for that. If you do turn in one set of chips, does that count as 1 faction point? If you turn in a stack does that count as 5 points? I tried asking a GM about that and (go figure) they didn't know. And (as a side note) WTF doesn't EQ have a numerical thing for faction or a way you can check your faction besides conning an enemy?? Oh well, wish me luck and one day I hope to join my friends in drinking ale near the bank.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 21 2001 at 11:54 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Cabalis faction is religion based, they realy care very little about race/class which is why illusion spells and benevolence won't do an enchanter any good.

Didn't they fix the faction cap so that maxing faction with the Troopers no longer stops your ability to gain faction with the Crusaders?

that is complete *********
anyone can be non-kos (unless ur a paly, then shamans will always hate u, which makes ur first statement also BS)
some races just cant get to warmly or ally or amiable, but most all can get non-kos with our fellow crusaders.

What he was describing use to be true. It was a bug that prevented raising faction once one of the factions was capped. The bug has since been fixed and turning in bone chips will continue to increase all those faction now (at least until each one hits your cap).

What does he have to con to you before you can start turning in the bone chips?

Not that great. :( As a lvl 42 Enchanter with benevolence and Illusion:Iskar, I'm still KOS to Mozo. I haven't gotten around to raising my faction with the Legion yet, but it looks like I'll have to through combat first before I can do the Chip quest to raise it with the other Iskar Factions.

the bone chips quest won't help your faction with the Brood of Kotiz, the necromancers.
Yes he does

Give him 4 bone chips (stacked is ok), to recive xp, faction, and from 1-7 silver.
