Here's my rundown of how "classic" the ornaments are which come from weapons drawn from the classic eras of EQ:
Aegis of Blackscales
"Long" shield (vertically), shades of grey, nothing impressive. Definitely more impressive shields could have been selected.
Ancient Prismatic Brawl Stick
Big grey club dotted with lots of spikes. Nice-looking but 2HB so not many will use.
Black Handled Bonebreaker
2HB Big grey double-headed hammer with spear point at top. OK look, again being a 2HB, not a lot of players will care to equip.
Brightwood Spear
1HP, excellent look: large silver blade with inlaid red gem on brown wooden handle. Would be fun to use by a rogue wielding a tiny back-stabbing weapon.
Darkblade of the Warlord
1HS, Big silver blade, OK, again, I could think of many better 1HS images.
Glowing Black Stone
Flashing red gem useable as H2H.
Great Axe of Twin Flames
2HS. Very nice double-bladed axe, orange on beige, with sparkly flame effects. Very nice look for anyone wielding 2HS.
Jagged Onyx Staff
1HS, Crooked thin blade entirely aflame with violet fire. IMO the best of the bunch in terms of an impressive and "different" look.
Sarnak Battle Shield
Thin rectangular shield, in gold, with stylized sarnak symbol emblazed upon it. Nothing particularly special.
Short Sword of the Ykesha
A classic image from the very earliest days of EQ.... recognizeable instantly by any "old-timer" but pretty bland look by modern game standards,.
Sister's Opulent Backstabber
Piercing, Long thin silver-white blade, OK but for piercing I'd go with Brightwood Spear
Staff of Transcendence
2HB: wooden staff with nice smoke effect. The best look available here for 2HB.
The Sword of Ssraeshza
2HS, very large silver blade with gold trim and an inlaid red gem near handle. Name sounds a lot more impressive than the look.
Transient Bow of Solar Winds
Range, not particularly impressive silver-grey bow.
Vyledorinajimak the Sea's Justice
2HP, curved silver blade. Just OK.
Wurmslayer
Like the "Yak" (i.e. "SSoY") this is a true classic from the early days of EQ. Easily recognized classic and unique look, altho again rather bland by modern gaming standards of weapon design. Would be fun look for any class dual-wielding two 1HS to ornament both of them with this!
If these weapons don't have images posted here, you can see them by typing "/Buyer" in the Bazaar and then searching for them. Alt-RClick on their image and the popup window will show the item equipped on your toon.
For the Planar Scorched ornaments, as far as I know, you would have to rely on the generosity on those who have posted images here. None impress me greatly so far...
