As part of the long list of useless tasks, beware the one my 31st level bard got in PoK...the ONLY one they would offer her there. The was supposed to go kill 10 of these pilgrims. They are, of course, Emerald Warrior and Storm Guard faction, so if you do this you'll end up KoS in all of Faydwer. What's more, they are almost the same level as my bard, and swarm together.
This is the latest sign that, while Tasks were a brilliant idea, the people who wrote the actual tasks are idiots. Tasks are supposed to be quick, simple little things you do when you only have a few minutes, or are waiting for something. But so far the tasks tend to take an hour or more, and be so dangerous you might as well just go xp instead.

I got this task today on my 30 Wizard. The only one he was even offered as well from PoK. As a High Elf, I refused to go through with this due to the faction hits.
IF you decide to try it, you can make up the faction hits in Crushbone for the Stormguard and Emerald Warriors. You will be in there killing orcs for a while. I figure 10 of these kills will equal to about 100 orcs and their belts as well as 200 goblins TF or FV or LOIO to repair your FV faction. Does not seem too hard, but the reward was only 12p and some faction.
Pilgrims and drixies are all over the place near the outpost bridge. You have to watch the pathing for a few minutes and then pull to the water's edge. You need to be sure you only pull the pilgrims cause the drixies will ruin your pull if you are solo. They are blue to a 30 and wil die rather fast if you can interupt the casters/healers. You should know there are some that walk around, some that just stand around or wander slowly, and some that RUN around. They will assist BIG time and have a rather large agro range. Decent xp for a 30ish, but really nasty faction hits.
Good luck to those who wish to do the task, I did not want the faction troubles myself.

These nasty buggers are much tougher than they appear and they see invis too! Talk about ruining your day this dark elf was shocked to get her butt kicked by a pilgram and still have problems living it down with her other guild members. I was invid and was walking through FV looking for an npc call kwinn the outlander(quest). I got aggroed by a so called black pilgrim and got my back kicked I think that the GM's should do somethin about the see through invis cus thats just wrong...

Well, it says 26-30, but these guys seem to be extremely tough.. First of all they see-invis and are a major problem for any dark race travelling... but the real prob is their dmg. One jumped me from behind and backstabbed twice for over 200 dmg a piece. I mean, SHEESH! for a 26-30 mob that's nuts. I solo mobs that are up to 26 and they don't do more than 40 or so a hit and hit slowly, and DEFINATELY don't have LoH or anything. I mean, cmon... 200+ TWICE?! and see invis?! that seems a BIT of overkill...

I travel by boat all the way from BB only to get killed by pilgrim. Now I gotta get back and find my body...If i petition do you think a GM will summon me to my corpse? (Even though I can prolly pull it of myself?
No.
It depends on what server you're on and how the GM is feeling. If you're on a good server and the GM's don't think they're gods and s/he's feeling particularly nice they might summon you to your corpse. If you get ahold of an evil GM they'll probably summon you to your corpse.... and then teleport you and your corpse to the bottom of Kedge Keep. Just be careful when you deal with these guys. Remember, they always con inddifferent but still might be KoS.

well i was exploring with a throw away char and i came into this place so i follow river and i hit a beech i see the pilgrim didnt know if it was agro. then her hands start glowin and i back up a bit SSSSSSSHHHHHHHWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the spell hits me for 138 dmg!

my necromancer was summoned by a GM here (the Gm thought it was ok) because i petitioned a lost corpse. needless to say my corpse WAS in fact lost because...if a necro cant find it...who can? the gm summoned me and my corpse and just as i arrived. the GODDAMN pilgrim proceeded to kick my ***. i survived cuz the gm did sumthing but it really scared me for a sec!

It just found me killed it really easily...faction goes down with FV and the guild and class that pilgrim is with you gain faction with legion of cabilis and another of the race I think one I killed was a wood elf warrior

You will find pilgrims of all non-evil races throughout the zone. They are pretty tough and seem to be cleric/paladin classes. They will KS your victims if you aren't careful, but they are only trying to help keep the area safe. They attack Drolvargs and Drachnids, perhaps the froggies that are out there too. Won't help on leeches I dont think, but I can't say for sure.

I caught one of these guys beating the cr** outta a drachnid Webstrander, I also saw a Drixie beat the sh** outta a silkstrander and kill it in 18 seconds! WOW, but it took two minutes for the piligrim

You get a pretty bad faction hit with the FV outpost if you decide to use these guys a punching bag.
