Did this mob with pal / monk / shm / clr / necro / mage / mage.

We were able to avoid the wandering eye by positioning in the NE corner of the room (the corner immediately on your right upon coming into the room). If the squire is up, you'll need to pull her away while you move the group into the corner, as she WILL aggro if you try to move into the corner while shes up.

For tanking, we waited until the eye pathed out of the room, and then we had the casters on the east side of the northern pillar, and we had the tank pull her to the NW corner (this is close enough for complete heal).

Squire Alkaa uses 2 effects, Savage Slash and fire breath. During the 2 minutes I was alive to parse, she cast Savage Slash 32 times and fire breath 3 times.

Savage Slash - My parses don't show that many people got hit with it (it appears have to very small range, and I believe can be avoided if you fight at the outside of her melee).

Fire Breath - This is the same directional fire DD / DoT used by Sootmane the Brute. Make sure that the squire is pointed AWAY from the casters and DPS, or they'll get hit with it.

As far as melee goes, Squire Alkaa is a BEAST. her max hit appears to be just a bit over 7k (Max hit against a 17% shielding monk was 6985) and she quads. Another useful piece of information is that she uses SINGLE TARGET RAMPAGE. Really wish we had know that going into the fight. The casters that got hit with it reported being hit for the full 7k, so be prepared. Be sure to have the right person on rampage, or you'll be losing casters right and left.

Squire Alkaa put out a total of 1671 DPS during the time that parse was taken, but that DPS number is low due to the fact that I had void dance running for the first little bit. Squire Alkaa did as much as 16585 in a single melee round, and had a rolling DPS that ranged from 1800 DPS to 4300 DPS.

I would suggest defensive / avoidance discs for whoever is tanking her. We had 2 healers, which helped, but her DPS is very spikey.

Also, Squire Alkaa is partially slowable.

Anyways, hope this info helps.

80 SK, 80 Clr, 80 SHM, 4x 80 Wiz did the job today.
tanks 22k/4.4k, had to spam patches, but all in all he'd be easily doable by normal groups.

Other then items, here are some tips for those who are doing Squire Alkaa for the first time or just not sure. I've been in groups that have killed him many times and most new people to the group have the misconception that he will agro on pop. NO HE WON'T =). To clear this up, going into the room coming from the Ancient clay guardian lookin things. If Squire Alkaa is up, he will agro when trying to get to the corner immediately to your right. So if he is up upon reaching camp, you CAN charge him and the Ancient's will NOT agro. If Squire Alkaa is not up, you can simply invis to the corner immediately to your right upon entering the room and you will be safe from the eye that wanders, the "a fire drake" PH and if the Squire Alkaa spawns while in that corner camp, he will NOT agro upon spawning, I repeat NOT agro at that camp. Now for killing Squire Alkaa, have the tank get him in the corner, opposite the corner you are in, but on the same side, and healers/casters can stay behind that pillar and NOT get hit by the AE's, because if not prepared they can be deadly, I repeat, behind the pillar is SAFE from AE's. Now for the eye, when the eye roams into the room, my groups have always killed him, he spawns adds at I believe 50% if not then it's 75%, if not prepared you will wipe, Enchanter or Bard is a must for killing the eye, it can't be done otherwise... at least not in my experience. The eye roams into the room every 4minutes or so, therefore he can be avoided by holding pulls every 4minutes but he has a very frequent drop rate for spells, which as most probably know is very very rare from other mobs, so it is worth killing the eye in my honest opinion. I hope this clears up any misconceptions and helps out a lot of folks =) Glad I for once feel as if I've helped someone hehe. Best of luck with this camp to those in the future! =)

For whatever it is worth....the Eye will now random roam to the previous "safe" corner (inside room and to your right). Sony must have adjusted pathing recently.

He doesn't always check that corner out, but he will eventually, and no matter how far you tuck yourselves into the corner he will aggro. I am not sure if any of the corners are now "safe" corners, as we didn't try any of the others.

And good info on avoiding the AE.
