i've noticed that these boogers cast spells with "long casting times", so in a toe 2 toe battle, instead of wacking aimlessly at them.. time your monk specials (tiger claw, eagle strike, etc) with their casting to disrupt their spells. i can usually prevent about half their spells, which really makes a difference since they have a couple of nukes for around 40-70hp of damage.

If yer fightin them, they'll heal themselves or any of their little goblin buddies that are in need of it, so focus on him first, or yer gonna have a mess on yer hands. Fought an even one the other night, not much of a challange, once he got to below half health he started to heal himself, so I cast a nuke spell whenever he cast a heal spell. He didnt last long.

These guys cast cleric spells, and are only too willing to heal warriors around them. Hit them hard and fast, and ignore the regulars pounding on you.
