Tae Ew Blood VialSo Been in the courtyard area almost 5 hours now no masked prick yet.... Kille dhundreds of lizards from within reach the tunnels down by the guard evrythign close by. 5-6 at a time with none yet bout to give up budy got his aug this morning first pull so no idea what's up.

Pulling 5-10 at once to zone in, I cleared 70-80 mobs per cycle for seven hours before i got the unmasked to pop and give me the AC aug. Thats approx 2-3 spawn cycles per hour or 140-210 mobs per hour for seven hours - about 1000 to 1400 mobs.
I made a good lot of plat off selling the tae ew meat and blood in baz but i would have really rather been off doing something more challenging. Its a rare spawn. When it popped from the mob i just burned down i mistook it for my DE cleric bot as it was the same model. It took me a few seconds to figure out why my box cleric was suddenly gone berserk attacking the other toons....it wasn't my cleric...it was finally my AC aug!

I dont know if they have recently changed the drop rate for the stone of greatness aug but these have been dropping of the mobs at the entrance and first courtyard pretty often lately. Any mob turns into an unmasked changeling as you are killing it and all I have killed have had the aug. I would average one every 30 mobs.

As of now it is extremely rare. 5-5 courtyard clearings and not a single Changeling pop.

I've -only- ever seen changeling spawn from the slimes in the sewer sections.
One of the lizards became a changeling in the courtyard for me a few weeks ago (early May 2008). Tromped through the maze some afterwards but couldn't get another to spawn. I think they just have a fairly rare chance of appearing.

I really do not know if this mobs still spawns in CT. I have been camping the ent. and the upper courtyard now for 3 days straight and nothing. I know I have bad EQ luck but in this case I think I'm up against a sure loss.

Yes. All of the hotzone content still works. They just took off the double experience modifier when they changed the hotzones.

you can search item slot, aug under unmasked changeling and find the name and aug for each of the new hot zones , i have the one from paw, ge, ct, and char very nice . for basic augs the one from paw is a nice one to keep even in the uber stance. sometimes its hard to get the changeling to pop one night stayed for 5 hrs and it only popped once another night was there for 45 min and it popped 4 times.

There is "an unmasked changling" in all hot zones now. They drop an augment that is normally nice for the level. Sadly the GE one drops a 30mana/end... and for a Zerker of said level 30end is about one snare/stun if that.

I have been fighting my way down to the Royals in Chardok these past few days and found these mobs along the way down. They droped an aug that was +30 Mana and +30 End. I have seen 3 so far in my killings from the very entrance all the way down to the Prince area of the castle. Started out as a normal trash mob then turned into " An Unmasked Changling" that looked like me. I'll try and port the Aug on Allah today.

Killed one of these in Old Sebilis and it dropped a "Stone of Might" - slot 7; 8 AC; +30 HP augment
