If memory serves, yes, only at night.

1 EQ day = 72 RL minutes
Sunset is 7pm EQ time, Dawn is 5am

They can also drop any of the materials for the Kimem's armor line of quests, ie: blightfire infused thick hides, silk, chain, or plate

my 22 warrior and 18 mage guildie pulled one and he killed the mage while I had to run. Conned yellow.
