After spending 15 hours or so killing all the tanglefeet mobs near the spirit wolves, I finally took a wander through the thick of these bushes and discovered Bristlebark was roaming around on the other side. I killed a few mobs to get to him and killed him as well. Then he spawned three times in a row. Then Thorn spawned right after that a couple times as well. Only one spirit mark so far, though.
Some folks have indicated that any mob could be a placeholder. This may be true, but so many hours without any luck on the spirit wolves side followed by so few hours with chain spawning of the named mobs near the Relic side leads me to think that it has something to do with the location.
The next day, I had the same experience. So, I have no idea what the placeholder is for these guys, but I suspect that they must be limited to the side near the Relic zone in.
I didn't try to root or snare either Bristlebark or Thorn because they continued fighting until they were like 10% health and, when they finally decided to flee, they didn't move quickly enough to cause any trouble with adds.
Now if I could just manage to figure out where Seedstep and Willowalk spawn, so I can upgrade some bazar-bought gloves. ;)
fortunately, this guy summons so he's not easily stupified by those that run around in circles damaging him. and he summons constantly. easily doable by a group, but much more fun and challenging solod! another good thing is not all his loot is NODROP, so made a quick buck.
spawns around +270, -1200, at the end of the valley with tree stumps, coming from zi, closest to master of herd. Common drop is dark spiritbone Urn. It can spawn from any of the tree stumps in that area. Also, another tree named spawns in that same area, seedsteep or something.

Dropped the Spirit Mark of Vision, used for the new helmet quest that Lady Usher offers in Arcstone. Bristlebark appears to spawn from any of the tree stump trash.
anyone have anything useful to post here? Mob -summon?hits?spells it cast?does it root?If I want to see what it drops I can look under that section. So I 'll add here to nothing useful.I zoned into arcstone, ran around and saw this Guy!Hoped that helped anyone with mob!!!!!!!
Realize that when this came out Alla didn't know what it dropped the posts with drops were added after those post because OF those posts without the posts there would be NO drop section and then you'd know nothing. not a big step down though i guess
