Roughspun Cord of the Faydark DefendersHaha, was just looking through alla's and found this link. This was an awesome event, and I had lots of fun ( lost about 3 lvls though ). But I was a lucky one. I found a captain beating up some orcs and sat to watch. Well, he got a few more orcs and I thought he was going to die, ( Still interested) So I invis'ed. Well, the Captain beat up all the orcs and had 2% health left!! So I uninvised and ( knowing that this guy would be killed by another orc or one of the raids very soon) started hitting him.. First hit was 1000+. Lol... And he missed a few more times then hit for around 2000. Then I crippled hit and slayed him. Now I was the one at 2% health ( 55 war) Got a Double Experience Potion And an AWESOME belt... and to think, people were auctioning off loot rights for more than 300k. :)
But Sony had the right idea with this war. Got to take a fun break off of the exp grind and watch it all unfold. Wish they could do another or bring em back like Fableds. :)

I wonder if they will bring this event back up like they did the Fableds? I completely missed the entire event by 2 days *sigh*.
But whatever, up to SoE and Verrant, this guy has nice looking stuff... :)

i have seen many messages about the goodies that drop, but not a single post on how to trigger this thing. if anyone knows, plz share, i've been workin on findin the way now for over two hours and no luck

pretty sure this event is over, it all revolved around the war between the trolls and frogloks, so it seems like we wont be seeing anymore of these guys, at least not right now.

Can anyone confirm if this does still drop or is it only during when the war is going on?
I believe this is the correct name.
I have seen the bow linked as well, but I had heard that it does not drop from Captains, only off of one of the named (General, Colonel or Tactician).
Could be wrong, but the miniraid i was in downed dozens of Captains and not a single bow drop.

This is correct. The bow drops off the named. We downed at least 20 to 30 captains in two days and the only bow we got was off the Colonel.
So you mind sharing how you trigger this event?

He also drops a really nice bow that is rare as hell. If I can find a link in game I will send a screenshot.
