This is a sucky mob, and maybe if i used disc fearless, and maybe if we had better resists, but this guys wiped us twice, before giving up. Heres what we had, and heres what i learned.
1) Get ur alchy tolerance up: nothing worse than being feared and drunk. Especially if you have some folks in your party who arent exactly fast on getting back in the fight.
2) Dont bother pulling to village to avoid line of sight, it doesnt work
3) Fast heals; he casts an interupter very frequently and I seemed to have better luck than my fellow healer by standing back as far as possible. Even though I got interupted, it seemed to be less.
4) Use a real tank: Its not that we werent doing good ( we got him down to 7% )., Its that those stupid mercs wont KS another group. So if you have two seperate groups with merc tanks, you should probably just sit 2nd group far away to avoid the AOEs until group1 tanks are dead or healers oom. And then move group2 in to take the kill.
5) DPS, as u can see from the list above, we were healer heavy and the fight took too long, With all the interupts on heals, next time would be better to have more dps than healers and just wipe him out.
* a friend told me it was 1grouped (3char, 3merc), but it was with lvl 85s, go figure, probably with thousands of AA. So unless this is you, bring plenty of help.
Playing my 76 ranger with 11k hps.. I went up to see where he was, and got too close. I ran away, and thought I had got far enough away from him, but apparently not. Shortly after he stunned me, I was down. And laying there wondering how the heck he took me out so quick. I was full health over 11k when I encountered him.
Here is a lowdown on my log... I parsed some of the impertinent info out.

Please, please, don't kill me. Hah! Tell me, are you immune to poison? I certainly hope so. I am.'
He didnt even come close to taking my 11k hps away. No Death Touch, no spell message saying that he hit me with anything other than melee.
My saves are pretty high too, all over at least 300.
I cannot figure out any way I should have been killed when he obviously didn't hit me for more than 5k of damage.
Max hit for 70 Paladin with max defensive aas and 8% shield, 2,200. Resisted slow (Balance of Discord) even with malos, HoS, and tash, and even being in melee range. We wiped with 11 people, raid average 69, heavy DoD non-raid geared. Fear and drunk AE pain too.
So a few friends and i decided to try him... of course we failed miserably but here's the stats i could gather: Max hit on my druid was around 2200, she has ID4 but she is a druid so plate classes will probably take significantly less damage.
The AE fear is resistable using infusion or the fearless ability, but his stun seems to be single target and not easily resisted. (67 druid didn't resist with infusion on)
Probably need a tank heavy group with some good dps going on for this encounter, your standard 2-3 clerics for a mob of this difficulty would probably suffice, since there's no AoE DD/DoT.
I would assume since he's a kunark era dragon still that he is still a belly caster. Other than that he's not too nasty. just make sure everyone pops infusion on attacking and you'll be just fine. --Faedarr Diesquick 70ENC/93AA --Athenya Diesquick 67DRU/93AA
