I have camped Butcherblock gobbos many times and never once seen a grunt.

Come out of the docks and there is a valley immediatly on the left, most often yuo will see them there. Don't get mixed up with Aqua Goblins which roam this area as well otherwise its painful!
Like whelps they tend to have containers on them although the money goes upto a couple of silvers.
