I had extreme trouble keeping aggro on my Paladin throughout this fight. Every single person in my group, save my cleric, wound up taking aggro even deep into the fight, despite chain casting three stuns the entire time. Even the bard took aggro at one point. So, to me, it seems like there's some aggro dropping mechanic going on. The only spells I saw were Crushing Blow, so I'm not sure what the problem was, but I never have this kind of difficulty with aggro.

He memblurs himself even though you don't see him casting it.
If you turn in the 4 instrument pieces (found on mobs throughout Bloodfields) to the dragorn in the SE corner, it will summon an easier version of this event.
After turning in the 4 weps I got red text saying, "the girplans have come out of hiding." Then: 1.Killed a reclusive girplan in cave NW of the bridge 2.Another in SE caves 3.Another in caves directly North of bridge 4.Rolthee Roundbelly spawned in the SE caves
killed him with 2 Anguish-level groups, heavy on the healing, it was probably overkill. He still had the 1500aedd+knockback.
Rolthee dropped no loot, but an NPC spawned in the back of the same SE cave, and after hailing and giving the right text (go to the Safehouse) a chest spawned with attuneable shoulders: Pauldrons of the Fallen Crusader
Since this was annoying for me to find the other night, possible spawn points for reclusive girplans:
- the tunnel north off the port in bridge, may roam - the dragorn caves, south east part of zone (cave system is short & runs NE) - West part of zone (broken buildings), spawns underneath a knocked over wall near the steep hill to the south - NW part of zone, caves that head NE
Well went to do this with my guild tonight and got to the boss and after a 2 minute wait to get mana up and stuff he despawned just as we were going to engage. Didnt know he would despawn. Anyone know what the timer is on this?
You start with the first reclusive Girplan who spawns in a tunnel opposite the RCoD entrance.
After you killed him (hits for 115-1288, average ~380, ~120k HPs, casts Crushing Blow), another will pop in a tunnel in the SE area of Bloodfields. After this another in the caves north of the port-in. And another under a stone slab at the west wall of the zone. All four con blue to a lvl 70. The second to last one spawns in the tunnels north of the port-in again and cons yellow to 70.
After this one is down, Myrhee the Flighty will spawn in the SE caves you've been in before. He's got about 620k HPs, hit our tank between 245 and 1749 dmg for an average of ~660 dmg. As we did this for a rogue we also got an epic chest after he got his epic piece. That chest contained a Dragorn Scale Cloak for us.
I think there are two versions - triggered and untriggered. Both can be used for Rogue epic 2.0, but the triggered version has an easier final mob with less (or no) loot and is just for the quest.
For the untriggered version you can simply kill the Reclusive Girplan and then track the next one down and kill that, until the boss (this guy) spawns.
I think you can also trigger the slightly easier version by handing in the four pieces of an instrument that drop in the zone (mute, straps, horn and mouthpiece) to Caller Donivin.
The final boss in this case is called something like Rolthee Roundbelly and drops no loot, but will spawn a chest if a Rogue doing the quest is there.
