Once he's damaged to about 10% of life left, he respawns as non-KoS version, to which a ranger at the right point in the epic 1.5 can hand in the Red Dogwood Heartwood and receive the Wind-blessed Heartwood, at which point the non-KoS version despawns and a chest can spawn. If he is attacking a merc at 10%, just let it kill the merc and then he'll respawn as the non kos version.

I killed Uisima by accident, came back 30 min later and he was up at full health. Sverins Fireskin wasn't up but several mobs were. Just dashed in, gave him Red Dogwood Heart, and got the last piece.
Drop aggro/ Cover Tracks

This part of epic is very picky. What i found worked best is to have Cover Tracks AA at lvl 85. When he gets to about 10% drop aggro on everyone. Dismiss mercs if needed and Cover Tracks to get him to finally be able to turnin. I sat there forever 4 different times with just my DS taking him down and he still killed himself. It wasn't until i dropped aggro this last time that i could finally do turnin.
Non kos after Merc dead

I followed the normal pattern, killed Ser and the adds, pops and was left with Uisima at 35%...turned all attack off and slowly brought him down. At 20% he kept attacking my merc tank. No biggie me and friend had plenty of mana for heals. 10% he kept attacking. Since this was the 3rd time I had killed him without him going non-kos, I decided to not heal the tank merc. As soon as the merc died, Uisima went non-kos. Just thought I'd list this incase anyone else had this issue.

we got him down to 10% and he didnt go non kos... we then got him down to 3% and he stopped and went non kos. hail him fast because he starts walking away.

Did this fight last night. (5/29/07) Had 36 people, 2 groups of which were an uber raiding guild. Was overkill. Chanters kept the adds locked down, raid burned Sverins down while myself and a pally worked on Uisima.

We didn't try to mez him, but I was able to both root and snare him.

I buff up to 13k hps, with about 2400 ac... I was able to easily tank both Grinbik and Senvial. I could NOT tank Uisima. He does not have many hps, but has higher AC and hits MUCH harder than the other two.

I had a pally run over and chain stun him while I wailed on him from behind. We had to slow down at one point to make sure Sverins died first, so we held Uisima at 40% till Sverins was dead. At 20% Pally turned off attack and just stunned and riposted. At 8%, Pally turned his back so he wouldn't even riposte. At 4% I started to get worried, because he was still attacking the Pally, at 3% I stopped attacking too. Sure enough as soon as I stopped, he stopped as well.

We had him on the south wall and I expected him to start walking north like many of the write ups suggest, but either he didn't feel like walking, or I hailed him quick enough to stop him.

Did the turn in, he depopped and chest spawned.

I'm now the proud owner of the Heartwood Blade. Now for Aurora. ;)

This mob, along with the others you slowing bring to 10% or so, (Senvial, Grinbik) seem to have very few HP, therefore it is easy for your raid to kill it by accident if not properlly told. I'd suggest you call all DPS off at 20%, then just DPS it with yourself + the tank to where it needs to be in case.

Also I did this fight with about 25 guildies, maybe 6 of which were bots, and only 2 chanters. They locked down the adds fairly fast, but the only real problem with adds was Ukuns from outside entering. They were more brutal and moved more quickly/stealthly, try to keep raid away from the door during the fight.

is what is says in the mob description up there. iirc you don't kill him at all. As the previous poster said you damage him down to about 10% when he comes to his senses and becomes non-KoS. You can hand in the Red Dogwood Heartwood then and recieve the Wind-Blessed Heartwood. The chest spawns at this point while Uisima depops. There's no killing him or looting involved =)

I've also noticed that the chest does not always pop after the fight.
We've done this raid successfully 4 times. Twice a chest popped, twice it didn't.

The 2 times it did not pop, the epic ranger had died during the fight and been rezzed back in to finish the beat down on Uisima.

So it looks like if the epic ranger dies at any point during the event, there will be no chest, even if he's rezzed up and finishes the event.

Just trying to get some mob info on this final battle please. Mezzable?, snareable?, slowable?, rampage?, spells cast?, max hit? and any other info that will help me gain my new epic. Any information is greatly appreciated.
