Doing my 2.0 for my 70 monk. Brought my 85 mage. No special AAs or anything required. Just pop'd my merc, said the key words then let my pet tank. Used the earth pet just in case the mob was hitting fast. Was child's play.
Merc Healed the fight without ever going below 90% mana. As a mage this was a pleasent fight too. In the 1.5 a lot of the mobs were highly magic resistant. The Disciple of Tranquility can be nuked. Very fast and easy work.
Solo'ed him with 75 monkey.. burn burn burn.. got him to about 60%.. had to fd.. mended.. waited a bit.. did some CF burning.. got him burned the rest. Dead Disciple.
Just killed this guy botting a shaman and an extra SK guildie for help. Too easy if you have a healer and slower. Buff up with resists and make sure the tank (be it monk or whatever) is hit with HoT most of the time, and your golden.
Just killed him with monk/druid/chanter box combo.
Snareable, doesn't summon, doesn't enrage. Max hit I saw was 1641, though the average was doubles and triple attack rounds between 900 and 1.2k.
Spells were easily resisted with just chanter MR buff.
Monk tanked, but I did have to kite a couple of times while waiting for the heal to land when the Disciple got a heavy round or two on me. For reference, monk is 8.7k unbuffed, 1700 AC with no avoidance effects, so most people doing the 2.0 are probably better geared than this and will have an even easier time.
EDIT: respawned just when I had finished writing this post, so bring all your monks at once with a healer and just farm it for them. =)
Druid/Shaman/Wizard/Monk dropped 'em. Tanked with 11.8k, 2k AC, some shielding, mitigation through PoP, and avoiddance through OoW. He got a lucky round and put me to ~50%, but other than that no problem at all. About halfway through shaman commented that reptile (chance to proc 600hp heal when hit) would probably be enough and it mostly was.
He put out about 230 dps on my monk. Resisted all his spell effects with bard song going. Fight duration 3.5 min. Should be easily duoable with a shaman.
