Someone posted on the Aria quest page that he is on a 1 hour respawn. This was not true when I hunted him on July 16, 2011. He respawned on normal zone timer, in same spot.

This was my experience as well, as of today on the Phinigel server.

Updated the Aria of Asceticism to remove the 1hour Respawn timer bit, it was also my experience that he respawned at the same rate as the surrounding NPCs.
This worked every time I tried it,
I simply invised in and went to his corner in the bar, went behind him so my back was in the corner and killed him. He never ran low on health and none of the bar patrons ever aggroed. Just make sure you're able to solo him and you'll be good to go.

I tried this strat at level 46 and it worked perfectly. Got it on the fourth kill.
Just want to thank the person on the extremely good idea of pulling him. Lulled his room and then pulled him, quickly invis'd and ran him down to my usual spot to swarm down by Dandolaks Run. Within 1 minute he was dead and book was looted on first attempt.

My 55 shaman found this out. If the Troubadour is Dark Blue to me he drops the book. Always does when he cons dark blue,but it light blue like he normally is he just drops words.
There is a constant spawn to the left of the door leading to the kitchen in the Shark bar. Dropped the book 4 times in a row, just keep at it.

On Mischief TLP -
Can confirm this spawn point just inside the door of The Hungry Shark (if you have Brewall maps).
Took two kills for the book to drop. Can confirm also it seems to be on a normal mob respawn timer - around 5-10 mins or so

I've killed him 6 times now and no book, This is a rare drop and I'm bored here :p
I had to kill him seven times to get the book to drop. Re-pop time seemed to be about 20 min so it took quite awhile.

Agreed...a rare drop. We are currently on the 11th round today and still no book.
