level 70 druid charm will charm these, they hit for 665 or 710 depending on which individual mob you get, I've gotten it both ways. Charm it, haste it, and watch it rip through mobs.
dire charm is correct

The solo experience on these is actually pretty poor. I get more experience per mob or per hour by soloing frogs in Storms - mobs that are four levels lower. The advantage of these is that there are lots of them, so in a group the experience isn't too bad.
Correction on fighting post

Some are immune to snare root, some are not , and this totaly random. Same for jopal feery and any mob at zone in. Druid solo them with dC pet , light blue con and kit snare while pet hit them on the back . la

There is no Druid DC'able mobs in PoFire, as a druid we can only DC animals.

The young obsidianwood tree spiders are DCable in the first field. I play a 68 Druid and I charm them often.
