ok, if your at the sw camp and someones at the nw camp ya dont want to wait for the stampede to return to the stables, when you see the message mezz the mob your on atm and get by the wall, target the piglet asap and mezz, root , snare and wait till the rest of the pede is gone and hes yours....if noone is at the nw camp ya can wait for the return of the pede to the stables where they despawn.
This mob can also drop the War Magus' Arrow Guard. Seen this drop from him twice.

Ok, I was in pit the other day and stampede starts up. I see piglet in stampede and i start shooting at it with my bow and arrows. I just keeps running around, totally ignoring me, and then the stampede is gone. So how the heck do u get this little piglet?
The stampede starts, let it do one cycle, then it comes back. The piglet will be in the rear of the stampede, I pulled it with arrows, single, and it was an easy kill with just me, a 63 Paly, tanking, and an all caster group. Dropped earring =)

root/snare the piglet but stay away from it until all others boars are out of the way. Mezzing also works to pick him out of the stampede.

anyone ever wonder where a little pigglet is gonna keep a staff.. or shield.. or sword... kinda odd if you ask me =)

I have killed this guy several times, and alike others, I have never seen the plate boots drop, however I have seen him drop the plate bracer a couple of times. The best tactic I have found so far with him is to have a bard mez him as he runs by, and then use Fading Memories so that he forgets, and no agro. And if you miss him the first time around, hes always more than likely the last mob that enters the cave, so just wait out back for him.
Could a 65 Druid pull this guy out of the stampede without aggroing the entire hoard of pigs? If anyone has succeeded in doing this, and is a DRUID, please post the method/tactics you used. I'd be most interested. Thank you.
would be easy to do with a druid, ive done it as a cleric, and ive seen Rangers, Druids and Necro's do it easy. As he runs by just snare his ***** With my Cleric i have to root park him than wait for the stampede to finish and hope the Root holds till the end ;-) Snare works really well however.

It now appears you have a lengthy delay after killing this guy until the next stampede. Close to 3 or 4 hours. Time may still be random, but definately a while before the next stampede.

Did this lastnight boxing my chanter and Ranger... waited for about 2 and a half hours (the times it takes to get alittle over 2aafinally the stampeed started... less then 15 min later it happend again... usually (guess lastnight was a lil diffrent 
) its about every 30 min or so... but as far as killing that raider and it starting it... killed him all during the time i was waiting and it never trigered it... so imo, its random....and P.S. Dartartaion.. please take caps lock off when you post

Hi, you're an idiot.
Ive helped kill piglet at least 50 times, and know a few people who kill it daily, say at least 100 times there.., at least, never seen boot mold drop from piglet.

so far everything on this loot list has dropped Many times for me. Excepet the darn boot! have yet to see Any plate boots drop from the piggy or from icestorm in BoT.
I can account for close to 50 piglet kills, no ornate of any type... I'm pretty sure this drops off the enraged war boar (named, spawns in the pit but not part of the stampede), not the piglet.

i dunno ive camped this guy for a while and got the stupid staff about 7 times. The earring twice. Adjutant's sabre a few times. and that damn staff even more. and few times where he dropped a spec or nothing at all =/

Every time I saw the stampede at level 63, he was an even con.
So, he's level 63 pretty consistently. Now that I'm 64, he's always dark blue.

killed this bugger five times in a row and got nothing.
and the lvl is wrong he is higher than 60 as i got the "too high level to charm" message when i tried to charm it. command of tunare will work on up to lvl 63 mobs, so the piglet must be 64 as it is blue to me at 65.

Command of Tunare is capped at level 60. If it wasn't then you could charm Ice Burrowers in Western Wastes... :)

Killed this little guy again solo with root/dot and got a Spectral Parchment and the Tactician`s Bulwark. Pull was pretty easy as it was the last one heading back into cave.

Root and mezz are your best bet. They work 100% of the time. Of coarse the person who does this to them often(but not always) gets agro from the herd. This person and anyone standing near them get stomped. We kind of consider it sacrificing someone for a named. Good Luck
Have killed twice now and nothing first time, Spectral on second kill, pulled it pretty easy as it was the last one heading into cave. The event is random as I have seen 3 stampedes in 25 mins and none for about 2 hours. When it does happen there are about 20-25 Stampeding Boar`s with 1 Piglet, most of the times the piglet is at the end by the time it makes its way around but the odd time it in the middle of the pack.

Can anyone provide some real info on whether this is a started event, or timed (if Timed) what is the spawn time on it. Also has he ever dropped any patterns and is there a trick to pull him out of the pack.
Ok, best i can tell this is not timed or triggered, but a random event. occasionally when fighting down in the pit you hear---- You hear the pounding of hooves---- or something like that. Shortly after that emote about 10 to 15 stampeding boars come through the pit area, among them will be the piglet. Now, how to pull him without agroing the other big boys is a different story. One that i dont know the answer too (cuz im not the puller )
