Lvl 66 druid tried this camp... they CANNOT be snared or rooted. Luckily the bats in the area are charmable (command of Tunare). Thanks for saving my **** Winky :P
These are at the same spawn point as loathsome Creepers and that is adjacent to the Gargoyle city. Head uot from GY with Zone wall to your left , - when ye get a cliff turn right and head to teh secon rock along cliff == make sure ye go straight and not over the croc and you will pass safely. this is teh gobby camp -- head on down along wall again to the LZO ( this is a huge green hedge with a Zone out stone behind it) go passed the LZO to the Gaurdians -- you need to go around the two Gaurdians protecting terris Thules crypt. after passing the gauridans stay along wall -- keeping wall to your left and you will see the Gargoyle city. the spiders are directly accross from ye -- just clear some mobs from the front of city like bats mainly and cross in between the spider tree and the city's edge. Once there your safe to hunt as no creatures path any where near you. Watch out for the FD effect the guys give out -- just hit sit and then stand to get back up and into the fight. They are tough so heal fast and land that slow but othwerwise they spawn fairly quickly and give out great XP!!
- They are always 61 - They can be harmonied(39 harm), snared, slowed(lowest slower at camp was 54),stuned,rooted - don't appear to summon - share spawn point with loathsome Creepers - get assisted by any other creature they pass - proc Paralysis (FD proc) - click sit to clear FD - don't cast but I think a chanter claimed doing a mana sieve on one. - junk loots: hourglass chiten, silken strand - good loot: nighmare arachnid silk about 50% average, Etherial parchement 1/20ish - Enrage at 15 to 19% health - can be mezzed but haven't seen any chanter lower than 61 do it. a 58 chanter COULD NOT mez them - at level 60/61 they seem to award about 1 1/2 - 2 AA points per kill in a full group. - they don't run on low health - they are very ugly those with arachnaphobia should not hunt them
