okay, my alt is a warrior killing in PC, and I've run the daily report quest so many times i'm Amiable to the plaladins and merchants in most of the zone. However, my faction will not go above Apprehensive with my own Class trainer in SH. All information I can find indicates that Garon Battlehand is the warrior trainer (he says so himself when hailed) and all the guards are amiable to me, but he still cons apprehensive! Can someone please tell me how to raise this faction?
You need to do the quest for the Shadow Haven neck piece (can't remember its name). This quest comes from the guy on the right when you first enter the building you would go through to find the warrior trainer (lol, can't remember his name eather, something like the trade commisioner though). Once you have the neck piece, put it on to trade with the merchants and use the trainer. My Troll warrior is still apprehensive to him, but with the neck piece on his faction is improved enought to use him, same goes with the merchants that would otherwise not trade with him. Just look up the quests for Shadow Haven on this site to clear up any confusion from my not knowing the names.

Yes!!! Finally found guard faction positive adjust! =) ANyway, yes, as previously said, there is a Fordel quest that also raises HavenDefenders faction, it starts with Mistala Glimmerblade outside of the main house,in a building with door facing guild house, in a back room with RecordKeeper ajar in the middle room, approx 25, 225. JUst say 'I will retrieve the daily reports' shell give you a notary letter to give to Lt. Broansas in DSP, just south of SS zone entry on hill by Lake, give him letter, hell give you reports to give back to Mistala, nice HavenDefender hit i think, went from app to indifferent in two runs.

Ok, where did u say she is? what zone?
Killing General Jared Blavstich in Echo Caverns raises your faction by a full level.
He's not easy though. He's flanked by two assassin protectors (level 50ish who see invis and Harm Touch), with several level 61-62 monks nearby.

The Clerics Guild in Shadow Haven is also on this faction. All the clerics glowered Dubiously at my High Elven Cleric until he did the Reports quest about 6 or so times... Now they are indifferent. As a note, the reason I say the clerics are on this faction is because the Reports quest gives faction with Traders of the Haven, House of Fordel and Haven Defenders. I have done the Tailoring Supplies quest about 15-20 times, which gives faction with Traders of the Haven, and the three Houses; Fordel, Midst and Stout. Had gone to at least apprhensive from dubious on most of the NPCs around, but the Clerics guild still glowered at me. Then I did the Reports quest a few times and bingo! Now indifferent with the Clerics guild and I was able to train Specialize!

The Defenders of the Haven are what their name says, the guards of Shadow Haven. There is one NPC you can kill for exp with them in Paludal, don't remember her name but she's level 24, near the Recondite camp right by the Shadow Haven zone. She's a wimp, could prolly solo her at 22.

hunting in PC is like waiting in line for the dole.
every 16-22 on my server bunches up like sheep around that stupid bandit camp.
Is there ANYWHERE else to gain factions with the defenders?
