I remember hearing somewhere a method to skip having to kill high scale kirn in the hole. Is this true? And if so what faction must i be with truespirit to continue? i am currently regarded warmly.

I don't know of any way to skip this part.. as you need the piece on him to hand in... so don't think there is a around about way... don't know if the piece is mq'able and can get around it that way by some one doing hand in for you.... but no you need the drop that is on him... as far as I know
Actually, it is possible to skip that portion of the quest. Our epic 1.0 is based on True Spirit faction. If you run the Woe/Envy cycle of the quest, killing the guys and looting those items, making the turn ins, getting the gem and taking it to EJ to turn in, then do same thing again, you can work your faction up to Max Ally, and then just need the Child Tear from Fear for final fight turn in, kill Rak, loot the scale and turn it in for your epic.

I have also discovered that u can turn in the books from Lord Ghiosk multiple times for faction. This method can take some time but it means u dont have to go to the hole (yay). I hate that zone.
