There is no "plate breastplate mold". According to Zam, the bp can be made with a "breastplate mold" sold by the same merchants as the other pieces.

So, before you start this, it will be worth your while to pre-loot 90% of this stuff. I am going to list everything for up to the Shawl 2.0, where another person has already written one.
The Great Divide:
2 Drakkel Wolf Whiskers drop from A Drakkel Dire Wolf (Note: the highest concentration of these wolves is near the Nexus Scion. Only took me 30 minutes to get my two.)
5 Glowing Worm Bile: Alright this one is tricky. It only drops of off elder and young shardwurms. They are spread out, but two or three will be in the tunnels. They will have a tell-tale glow about them. you can notice it on the ground. These will ALWAYS drop the bile. Took me two hours to get all 5.
Eastern Wastes (Bring a tracker);
8 Snow Griffin Eggs (these drop in BOTH EW zones. Get 8, put 4 in the bank. You can thank me later.)

10 Kromrif Heads
1 Tundra Kodiak Meat
2 Frost Bunny Meat (In shawl #3, it says Snow Bunny Meat. This is incorrect, it is Frost Bunny Meat.)

The best way to get these is go to the Wyvern caves in the northern part of the zone, kill them all, and repeat.

2 Siren Hair ( I farmed in SG for hours did not see one. Kill the siren's infront of the zone in to Siren's Grotto a few times. I got both mine in one spawn.)
Siren's Grotto: Maze City
2 Runed Sea Shells (These MUST have the Enduring Breath effect on them with one charge.)
1 Swordfish Tooth
1 Molkor Hide
Kael Drakkel:
1 Royal Kromrif blood Drops off both Klaggan Iceshard and Vorken Iceshard.

You do not need a tracker for the snowgriffins, they spawn behind the snow wall at Sleepers Tomb -6600 sort of, just go to the tomb, go past the snow hill behind it (up and then setup shop below) , here roamers are found, giants, manticores, rhino, mammoth, cougars, snowbunnies , kill everything and the snow griffons will spawn after awhile - almost everything you need for the 1st 3 shawls is dropping here.

Gems seem to drop much more commonly off the geonids in Wakening Lands than the wyverns. These drops are from "uncommon" spawns either shimmering geonids in Wakening Lands or Burrowing Wyverns in WW. They do not drop from the "normal" Wyvern of Geonid mobs.
Ty for this list. You also need Rubbing Alcohol found in Thurgadin. Get more than 4 extra Snow Griffin Eggs, trivial in 2.0 is 400 and minimum eggs is 4. "Plate Breastplate Mold" is wrong, you need a "Breastplate Mold".

We just did the 8th shawl walk with 1 group.

it got hairy at times but nobody died and we got the job done.
i did it a long time ago and the guy you guard was mezzable at the time but he wasnt this time so we just got agro and the bard ran him in circles while the group rested then the chanter(me) just mind wiped him and he when on to the next part with no problems. We did loose him when he crossed the water but he poped up on the other shore you just got to be patient.

This quest is sooo hard I got all the way to #6..and am unable to find a recipie to skill my tailoring high enough to do the combine! I also just found out there is Raid needed for the final shawl. 50k (subtracting profit from re-sale of excess from goods bought,excess of needed combined componants, and combines) later and at a brick wall! If you take this on I suggest u get every tradeskill at a mastery lvl (220+) 1st (you will need it not only for quest combines; but also for the combines you'll need just to do the combines you need to do in order to get the product you'll need for the actual skill u need at that time)! then decide if it's worth it to you so you dont waste a whole lot of time you could have spent getting XP! I say it's a waste of time! I regret ever trying! If tailoring didn't require smithing to be above 146 after 158 tailoring or if all the recipies in between 158 and 250 didnt require your skill to be higher than the actual triv, then it would be worth it! GOOOD LUCK!!!(You will need it)

You don't need to get your skills up that high. With skills in the 180 area should easily be good enough. The trick to shawl #6 is that you just have to resign yourself to doing it several times. For number 8, you don't need a raid. All that's really needed is one or two groups depending on level. For your tailoring, just go make some platinum ribbons. They'll get you to the mid 180s.

I did look into that option...It requires your smithing(the absolute hardest skill) to be at 148 for the shears...and weeks of foraging for the dye. I have no clue even how to begin to forage. Is there a recipie that I can just buy the necessary items for combine??

A couple of points to help clarify:
You don't need to smith the shears yourself, you can buy them in the bazaar.
I personally don't recommend the ribblons, complete money sink and very expensive.
First off, unless you are a Ranger or Druid, you won't be foraging at all. Secondly, the ribbons and dye components will cost you a small fortune.
Look into the DoN Cultural armor (tailoring). The Expert's leather/silk combines can take you to 182 and the components are much more easily obtained (depending on race).
Last thing, definitely peruse the EQ Traders Corner. www.eqtraders.com
It will answer many questions more accurately and in greater depth than possible on Allakhazam.
I love Allah but it's better for other information.

He asks you to bring 4 Frost Giant Toes
The first two parts of the Coldain Shawl quest involve killing many Frost giants, this increases the faction with both the Coldain and even Better CoV ( Claws of Veeshan). The four toes are not rare and drop on a regular bases from the giants near the EW zone.
Both these quests can be completed by buying them but i recommend getting the faction, Claws of Veeshan have many great quests to offer if your faction is healthy with them.

I had 30+ heads and 12+ toes that I had collected
on many alts over a couple years. When I decided
I wanted to MQ some items to a necro I started to
work his faction. I did the shawl quest 1+2 three
times (destroyed the shall afterwords).
Im still indifferent. Plus Ive killed good bunch
of giants with my necromancer. =(

i was in there collecting the stuff and i got all the heads and it wont let me combine i keep clicking it and still nothing and it doesnt say preserved kromrif head or what ever the box says too but it still isnt working for some reason

There is currently a bug with many quest containers. They won't combine for some reason. The devs know of this bug and it is supposed to be fixed in the upcoming March 10 patch.

Does this quest happen to raise CoV faction?
Quest does NOT give +CoV but killing the giants does.

i conned apprehensive to everyone, including the Loremaster but gave it a shot anyway. I said my line "I wish to perform duties for the crown." and it worked. I got the quest. Level 40 agnostic bard. So go figure. Thought you might like to know. Biggest mistakes when doing lines I've found are 1) spelling errors. 2) not in /say mode.
I know that I can kill the frost giant till I am not KOS but after is it have any quest I can do ????

Maybe its just Terris Thule, but whenever i go to GD, there is always a group of lvl 50+ people camping the giant fort for CoV faction. as a lvl 39 cleric (yay for CH!) they were more than happy to have me to reduce their downtime and keep the corpses cleared. In 3 hours i was lvl 41, had heads and toes falling out my ears, made about 200p, got about 10 points in baking from making frost giant steaks and was maxed negative faction with the kromrifs. Too bad the other shawls arent this easy....

depending on how far into 50 they were, this could be very realistic to level that fast. At 52 many of the giants in the fort are lblue with a fair share of green and a few dblue. I would imagine at 55 it will be almost all green to me so anyone of lower level would get the exp for them and level very fast. And yes level x 1.5 does hold true even in the 50's. I 2box a lot and have watched that very closely.
Not sure if things are different on Terris than on Xev, but i don't ever remember a lvl39 being able to get xp grouped with 50+'s. And 39 - 41 in 3 hours on GD giants, hmm I don't think so, when you consider that as the lowest member of the group you'd get the least xp...I was quad kiting them at lvl39, and didn't progress that quickly.

I play a 38 druid and while I am not an expert I seriously doubt that a 39 could quad the giants. Too many hp with a decent regen. And yes a 39 can group with 50's though they wont get much xp per kill a group of 50's could kill giants at such a rate that he would still get great xp and lvl fast

Dude, Emyals, get a f***ing clue, 39 X 1.5 is the formula, He can group with up to lvl 58 or 59 (too lazy to do math)
at level 52 i had a 39 in my group there and they got 1% a kill while i searched for toes seemed to level preaty fast considering how fast i could kill
just did 1st quest today too had 3 toes, then got 4th one from Kael =) and turned them in. Got 1 head too gotta go to ebd tomorrow will get otehr 9heads for 2nd shawl
