Originally I bottomed out my Giant faction for Dwarf quest armor. Now I'm trying to switch back. Been killing dwarves for about 15 hours played time on a 54 ogre warrior that can make a kill on average ever 40-60 seconds... you do the math.
Been bottomed out with Dwarves for 4 played hours now and acumulated 80ish heads but I'm still ready to attack with giants.
Any ideas on how many more kills we're talking about.

Avoid losing dwarf faction

If you absolutely, positively MUST avoid dropping dwarf faction (i.e. you are a former giant killer with thurg quest armor in the bank waiting to be turned in BUT the guild has graduated to dragons and is wanting you to kill dwarves for the nice Kael stuff you'll be getting) then my /first/ suggestion would be to just kill more giants etc. until your thurg faction is fixed for the armor, then do coldain heads or kobold paws.

HOWEVER, there is an alternative that lets you stop killing either giants OR dwarves. Get in on a good 7/6 or dragon raid to fix your kromzek faction to around apprehensive, then invis into Kael, find Noble Helssen (the guards near him are zek faction, as is Helssen), and tell him "I am interested." He'll hand you a bag to deliver to the moderately rare mercenaries that wander the forests southeast of the PoG gate in WL. From what I'm given to understand, you can do this quest as often as you like for about half the faction hit of turning in heads AND you don't lose dwarf faction (and, Noble Helssen isn't camped as much as the captain). Only problem is that you definitely need a tracker for this, as the mercenaries move moderately fast and like to hop over trees, thus jumping out of sight. This is probably a fair bit slower than slaughtering dwarves (give or take, depending on your class and level) but you CAN do this and continue your coldain shawl quests, thurgy armor quests etc. It also bears mentioning that coldain faction will be considerably harder without the ability to slaughter wimpy giants and direwolves...think really hard about how badly you want the thurgy armor or shawl quest stuff before you get too committed to trying to maintain dorf faction...are you the type of guild member who's gonna soon get Kael gear or are you at the **** end of the loot ladder? Good luck, all toelickers!

You only get Kromzek faction in Skyshrine, not Kromrif. Try killing dorfs. You can be non-kos to dorfs and have good kromzek faction but kromrif and coldain are dire opposites.

raising faction after killing frost giants
# Feb 06 2002 at 10:55 AM Rating: Default
Can anyone tell me if I will be kos to the Giants in the Giant City. Before I knew any better I was killing the Frost Giants, I've only killed about 10 or 15, but I figure that's about 15 too many.

Can I do anything to raise my faction with them and not be kos to them or is it hopeless?

Thank you for your reply.

Kromriff Faction for hunting in SS ? What Faction
# Jan 26 2002 at 3:30 PM Rating: Default
I have been hunting in SS for bout 10 days now am ally to Kromzek and still KoS to Kromriff and have killed mobs from 1st,2cnd,3rd,bar,kitchen,dining room, pool room and all in between and not one mob gave Kromriff faction on Kromzek. So think there is a misunderstanding about SS giving you Kromriff faction. Kromzek lots!!!! Kromriff don't think so :-(

Factions in Kael

As of May 17th, they still drop in the mines. Off "a lesser Tar goo".

I was Threatenly to Kromrif and Kromzek, Scowls to King.

I got invis, went directly to Bvelos in the bank and gave him 4 heads, went to Amiably Kromrif, still Threatenly to Kromzek and Threatenly to King. I am now collecting more heads to do this.

Faction hits for turning in heads to Captain Bvelos is
+Kromrif
+Kromzek
+King Tormax
-Claws of Veeshan.

So, you do NOT ruin Coldain faction to do this :)

Hehe this may sound stupid but what heads do you speak of? What drops them? I hope to, if possible, maintain at least non KOS faction to all three Vel cities, Kael, Thurg, and Sky. Hehe seems like it'll be next to impossible tho. Tell me now if i'm dreaming ). Also which would u out there suggest, if i were to do only 1? I'm a Dark Elf necro. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I was just wondering if any barbarian shaman have tried to raise faction with the giants? Is it hard to get over the Tribunal/barbarian faction to the giants? How long does it take? How many do you have to kill?...ect.

Is there anyway to raise faction with giants without killing the dwarves? I don't want to lose
Coldain faction.

Greetings,

I was just wondering if anyone know if the faction hits with Coldain have any effect on your faction with the Dwarfs in Kaladim?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Best way to raise faction...

Spend some time killing things in the mines of Thurgadin. As of March 9th, they are still dropping coldain heads, and give no faction hit when killed. They also drop the heads more commonly than dwarves do. Stock up on heads (get about 30) then go kill some dwarves until frost giants are Dubious. Give 5 heads to the Kromrif Recruiter at the zone to Kael to raise your faction with Kromzek to dubious, then give the other 25 to Captain Bvilek (I think that's his name) in the bank. He's standing directly in front of the banker. The 25 heads should get you at least to indifferent if not amiable with Kromzek, and at least amiable if not warmly with Kromrif. It'll also get you close to, or at Dubious with Tormax. Going this way, you won't be KoS to the Coldain until you're ready to turn in the heads, meaning you can bank, buy, and sell in their city until you're ready to turn them in.

No Kromriff faction hit for killing Sentry Kcor. Kromzek, like rest of stuff in Skyshrine.
