This is a good solution to all that armor rotting on hate and fear raids , plus getting rid of unused items in bank. thanks verant very good idea.

was wondering the same thing.
I got a new belt for my druid and the Dwemvenorine Garland or whatever it's called is a class specific fear planar armor and yet it's not included in the quest :(

umm.. well the armor is obviously no longer or never was any good for you if you are turning it in, so the gem isn't that crummy becuz you make some money out of it. =P
.....c'mon.....you've got to get this. If it is going to rot due to no one being able to use it, you CAN pick it up and get something beneficial. I did my 1st Hate Raid last night as a guest of The Sovereign Storm on Luclin server. There were two drops that no one out of 40+ people needed/wanted. If I was higher than guest status at the time I would have surely asked for a roll. Try this : WHATEVER you get off of a mob, sell/trade/vend it and give that already dead mob a PP to kill ratio.....this may help you find value where you thought there was none.....Peace and Love.....
it's actually quite a good quest. many people at some point got hate or fear armor, and then got better, such as skyshrine armor. hate/fear armor is nodrop, so once you have better it becomes useless, you can't give it to an alt, and unless you're on Firiona Vie server you can't sell it either. so it just sits in your bank taking up space until you get around to destroying it. this quest allows people to take all that armor sitting uselessly in their banks and turn it in for a quick infusion of exp and cash.
Not only that, but hunting in the new hate will probably result in some armor rotting. Now any class can loot it and turn it in for a gem.
When my guild used to raid Fear and Hate for Epic components, I as the guild treasurer would loot all of the unneeded armor. After a raid, I would have about 20 pieces to turn in which would result in over a yellow of AA EXP and a few gems for the guild bank. I great quest indeed.
