As of 17 May 2003 I've gotten the Helm, Vambraces, Greaves, and Boots off of a mob called "a cleric of Hate" and off Haunted Chest. Got all 4 pieces on my first raid since the other cleric already had them...too bad, no BP. But I'm happy to finally have some decent gear...Goodbye Charred Boots

Just got this last night, along with the greaves, boots, a bracer, and the truesight hammer :) all in 6 hours. It's a very nice upgrade from the dreaded golden quest armor and a sebelis scale coat. Go Keepers of Life on the Veeshan server

I got one of these about a month ago. Upon looking today, every other classes armor has effects. I love the stats on this, but I'd like an effect too. Anyone know why there isnt an effect on any of the cleric peices? Thanks 8-)

You're looking at the wrong line of armour. You're thinking about either your quest BP's from Skyshrine, kael, or Thurgadin. Also the BP's from PoG and Kunark BP's have effects. This is the best old world BP for clerics; and along with the best old world bp's for all the rest of the classes, it drops in Plane of Hate. It is a good bp though, that is some wicked wisdom and the purple is pretty cool in my opinion. By the way, if you were wondering, the Velious Cleric bp's I mentioned all proc Mark of Karn, a buff that gives 6 health per hit. I've never had one yet so I'm not sure if it's per the targets hit or everytime they get hit, I think the former. And the Kunark bp procs CHeal at 55.
actually the druid POH armor (chest and leggings) has clickable effects. I haven't researched all the other armor but at least one class has armor here that has effects. and all the effects on the armors you're talking about are clickable effects, not procs.
Except the thing to remember is that a couple of classes have two sets of armor in plane of hate/plane of fear, one that is the old set, and one that was added to be comparable to Plane of Growth armor. Those classes were ones that shouldn't be hunting in Plane of Growth, at all, such as druids and rangers. I have no doubt that armor has a clicky.

Me and my guild went into hate yesterday. Killed a bunch of these guys and no cleric armor droped except for that shield. We were in hate for about 13.5hrs straight. They do at least three or four ch before they are oom. Good idea to stun them.

I got this and several others items the same night I got this. I think the Cleric of Inn drop this..However, we had two drop off of one mob. I don't know if this was a bug, but ohhh well! I like my Bp. Now working on kael armor then to cultral (underfoot).

it's like everything else up there.. either really hit, or really miss...
last time up we were there about 8 hours with 20 to 24 people... ended up with 3 bps, and our lowest cleric who had no Em to start, had a full suit except for bracer at the end.. plus several other peices.. couple arms, and an extra gauntlet i think...
On the side note, we seen virtually no rogue armor, 1 mage robe, 3 chanter drops (all crap).. other than the cleric drops it was dismal...

Why dont you shut the hell up you dork, this bp was in the game before any of the other two even existed, so for its age, ie original eq its excellent.. there was a time when this was THE bp to get for clerics..

By the time you are high enough to actually LOOT a Donal's BP from Trakanon (ie. 55+) mabye this is CRAP to you but for all us non-ubertwinks who have to loot what we use this is a VERY nice item.. A big upgrade from the Chestplate of the Constant.. Regardless how could anyone call +15Wis crap?!? It boggles my mind..

Agree with Deleby. This is a very nice BP. Not everyone has a Donal's BP sitting in the bank, or the means to get one. I use a seb scale coat, and as I just hit 46, you can bet I'd take one of these if I'm in hate and it drops. Yeah, I'd prefer Donal's, but I'm about 100kpp short for one.

I got this on my first trip to Hate. It was cool, all the clerics had already won something but me. So i won this by default. It is a definate upgrade to the bloodstained tunic i was wearing.
