Glowing Muramite Rune
# Jan 10 2009 at 8:21 PM Rating: Decent
Once you have all your spells Karsor the Mad hands the rune back to you.
It's useless at this point, you have to destroy it.

Well, not completely useless.

If you get two, you can delete your own spell, and use the the two runes to make one to trade, and one for you.

The post before yours stating it is tradeable was referring more to the fact the the spells granted by rune turnins are now researchable AND tradeable - so in essence you both are correct... the runes (glowing and greater) are not tradeable the spells however if researched (not sure about the quested ones) are tradeable

Actually, while the rune is no drop, and the spells are now tradeable and researchable...
By some sick joke from Sony,
the tomes are not.
So yea, Sony definitely screwed us meleers over with this, we still need to go through the "fun" of finding glowing runes, which is even harder now, because nobody ever does the MPG trials anymore, as they are not required for anguish.
Thanks Sony.
Thanks bunches.

the spells, not the runes.
They are researchable.
If you want to get the tradeable spell from the npc, you need to delete the one in your spellbook and hand in the rune.

No, you cannot Multi-Quest this. You must loot the glowing rune and turn it in yourself.

I had one of these drop off Granitesmash today in RCoD. It's the first I've seen in over 100 kills.

Sadly the mobs that drop the level 70 spells (Glowing Runes) all summon.. Unless you are a good enough Druid to take a few whacks of 1000+ Hp damage each time your summoned and heal yourself, I doubt this would be good for you.

I suspect you should grab some Pickup groups in MPG or RSS and try that way.

Sorry to be a downer....

... winning the MPG raid trials - each shell drops two of these every time. (Shell of the Ancients, Shell of the Corrupted and the Shells of the Master from Adaptation, Foresight, Hatred and Specialization)

PS : Yep, typo in "rewards", i know... =/

I have only done 3 successful trials, but we had 0 runes on any of those 3. As well, I have talked to several people that have done many of these, and say that thye see runes drop about 1 in 5 trials...and never in 2's. The thing that really bothers me about this is that Sony stated in a patch update that rune drops were increased. I have hunted every zone in which these drop rather regularly and have never actually seen one drop. A friend of mine spent about 3-6 hours a night for over a month in RS trying to get his spells and saw 2 drop, and only won 1, and this was after the alleged drop increase. What a croc of BS.

He said raid trials. The group trials occasionally drop greater/glowing runes.

I have also have done 3 MPG trials and had 0 Glowing Runes. Fine if they dont drop every time, but as per the last patch they were supposed to drop more often. Coupled with 4 hours in RS and 7 hours in regular MPG, with 0 Glowing runes, I do question whether any increase went live. I know its a random drop but I can only speculate that the increase was a fraction of a %.

I have spent over 20 hours in MPG and have not seen a single rune of any kind drop. I have asked several people in the zone if they have had any drop and have been told. If the drop rate was increased was it from .00000001%to .000000011%?

I've done five MPG Trials of Fear and we've had 2 glowing runes drop successfully with the item.

I've killed Blind Hunter Remaku (sp?) in MPG twice and I've seen him drop a glowing once. Maybe my group just got lucky, too bad I didn't win the roll :(

Has dropped from Granitesmash in RCoD for me. Rare as all hell though. 1 69 and 1 70 in probably in excess of 150 GS kills (about 3-4 weeks and I live in RCoD).

# Sep 16 2004 at 5:26 PM Rating: Default
Have seen Lesser Muramite Rune, Minor Muramite Rune, Greater Muramite Rune, Glowing Muramite Rune and Muramite Rune.

They do not seem to be level tied. I turned in a Minor Rune for level 66 RNG spell. A Bard turned in Lesser Rune for level 66 BRD Song. And a Druid turned in a lesser for a level 67 DRU spell.

Not sure how they are tied atm.
RE: 5 Runes
# Sep 16 2004 at 11:27 PM Rating: Default
It is said that you will gain the spells in a set order, based on what is already in your spell book. And that you will not be given duplicates, as was the case with PoP spells.

One might deduce from this that:
Minor runes will result in spells of level 66.
Lesser runes will result in spells of level 66-67.
Regular runes will result in spells of level 66-68.

And so on. Regardless of what you hand in, the system will attempt to fill your complement of level 66 spells before you will get any level 67+.

Of course this is only a theory but it fits the observations and information given thus far.
RE: 5 Runes
# Sep 17 2004 at 2:52 PM Rating: Default
over at the crucible we have figured out that each rune is tied to a specific level. minor = 66, lesser = 67, murumite = 68, greater = 69, and glowing = 70, noone has seen the final rune yet, almost 100% sure they wont drop till the locked zone is beat.
RE: 5 Runes

The glowing drops from a fairly easy raid in Wall of Slaughter, Velitorkin. Keep AE heals rolling and tank that can handle several 2k+ hits per round.
