went down to FV with my 63 Ranger to try to get the note, i was training about 20 of these onto myself and bashed away one by one, they drop quick with my DS (43) the last ones are already on very low hp so die very quickly, they managed to get me down to 40% but it was np
Just visited our leetle friend here today. Well, here are my comments on where I found them all and the results. First, I decided to Camouflage, Buff, and and SoW myself while traversing this area. I suggest you do the same. For me an unknown area = Camo + Buffs + SoW. ;-) I went directly towards the southernmost "Drolvarg Ruins and Camp" (#9 in EQ Atlas map). From there I headed a bit south of that camp and pulled one towards the ocean (south). Someone had suggested that before, therefore, I used that knowledge. BTW - there are quite a few of these puppies in the area, but you should have no problem pulling singles. The first Scavenger did not have the scarlet stone, the second one did. Hmmm... Maybe I got lucky. :-) I hope you have as much luck. BIF - If I recall correctly they hit as hard as 50 - 60ish. Conned BTM.
they do wander and it is possible to get them solo. just keep your eyes open for possible adds and the potential kill stealers that drixies and pilgrims can be. i find that if you pull them close to the ocean you can avoid both adds and lost kills most of the time.
Unless you are an Iksar monk at least level 20 (probably higher), the Scarlet Stone is basically to loot and destroy. It serves NO use for anyone else at this time--who knows, that may change, but these stones are so common that there is no need to hold onto them.
Please don't destroy these fine stones - they are now also for the Renni's Rock Collection in the PoK, which is open to all! Should be able to start selling these in the Bazaar now ;) Kelitre, 22nd season Cleric on AB
