Hit her with assassinate for like a quarter million HP, and she keeled right over -- bypassed all the adds and dispells. She dropped her loot, and the Planar Projection spawned. So I'd say she has way less than 1 million HP. Maybe she just has high regen that made it seem like a lot more HP back in the day.
Tried to solo tonight... Level 78 Cleric 1350 ish AA's. Was doing great through the whole fight until the gargoyles spawned. Wound up chain healing myself while they were eating my ward and DS. Unfortunately they finally got too many good hits in when they were down to about 30%. Got Terris down under 20. Bringing a healer merc next time to own the b**ch.
Decided to revisit this last night. 85 Cleric now, 3000+AA's brought my 85 Bard 2500+ AA's and 2 J5 Rogue Mercs. Way over kill. By the time the defilers were close to us and started attacking, the gargoyles had spawned. Decided to just switch back to Terrris and finish her off. After she was down, made short work of the adds. Total time was under 5 mins. Would agree with the other poster that said she has low hps, but high regen. With the high dps I brought this time she went down like a rock. Nobody even dropped below 90% hps. Kinda sad really. Also did Ryda'Dar in the same night. I remember when I did these years ago with a full raid, wiping to them multiple times.
Seriously annoyed. Why are casters punished for using spells? Went in here with my 80 mage and 76 warrior (two app5 mercs healer and wizard). Apparnetly high resists even with Malo couldn't land a hit higher than 1400ish on her (normally hits for 6k). Warrior was hacking away just fine but the adds overwealmed us since my mage was basically a useless POS due to flawed game mechanics. I mean do they design raid bosses to ***** casters over? Why with the high resists? The adds were apparently just as bad couldn't get any good hits on them either.
My 76 warrior with autoattack and defiant gear did more DPS then the mage which is sad when I was controlling the mage...
Downed w/ 15 today, most all of us needed the flag. Only one real "uber" amongst us. All from a non-raiding guild, hehe.. 4x 70CLR (1 Boxed), 1x 69CLR (boxed), 1x 70BRD, 1x 67 Monk, 1x 70 Ranger, 1x 57 Ranger, 1x 70SHM, 1x 59 Warrior, 2x 70 Warrior, 2x 70 Druid (1 boxed).
We just did it with 1 group to flag some alts/bots. Group was Anguish+ geared. Monk MT, 3 clerics, 1 ranger, and 1 enchanter. One cleric sat outside TT's room in case. Monk tanked TT down. Monk, rng, and 1 of the clerics melee'd the butterfly adds. Paused at 45% health to rebuff after the dispell. Rng kited the gargoyles untill after TT died.
All adds are immune to changes in Runspeed (unsnareable and unrootable).
Adds will summon so if your going to kite have to make sure no one has a DS up or aoe's the gargoyles.
Once the gargoyles become targetable there is a few seconds pause between then and when they come after you so there is time to use an agro spell to get agro. As long as no one heals the kiter your fine.
Potions are great for this fight... both to rebuff and to heal yourself.
WE did this twice last night.. The gargs seem to start spawning around 40%. Just a bit earlier then what we were ready for so it wiped us twice, since we didnt realize it the first time around.

ok shush its probably a stupid question to you guys but first and foremost. Are there any sites with lore storys and etc. and second Who's Terris's Mother and who's Cazic's wife?
Wife. I hate Cazic Thule and read all the lore about him I could. Turns out he and Terris were both responsible for the fall of Grobb (go figure) and Sebilis. It seems like Thules have something about destroying their followers and letting the frogloks move in. Read all about it in the lore for the Legacy of Ykesha and Runes of Kunark expansions

Hey, I'm an Iksar, and it's the reason I'm pissed at Venril Sathir for making a dark pact with Innoruuk. That's what pissed off ol' Faceless on Kunark.
The Trolls had it coming too... they were worshipping Inny too... and no matter what your alliances are on an evil side... there's always jealousy and competition.
Besides... it took a combined effort of Dragons, Giants, Goblins, and Frogloks to defeat the mighty Sebilisian Empire...
... unlike the Trolls who lose to a bunch of Battletoads...

You give them too much credit! Battletoads kick ***! They would loose to Koopas!
I dont know many official lore sites, just bits and pieces here and there, but the mother of Terris and morrel Thule is none other than Quellious believe it or not. Found this out from an npc's flavor text in EQOA Arcadin. If you feel like it you can check it out lol but I doubt you will :)

Obviously vemanosbenji cares. Why be bitter about how someone else enjoys the game?
The whole game can be reduced to calculations and pressing buttons. It's the characters, the story, and the in-game interactions that make it what it is... and vemanosbenji asked (on topic I might add) where to find out more about the story of this character.
It's ok that you don't care, but it's not ok to tell someone else not to care
/agree and /salute to you Val. it IS after all.. a role playing game, and if played as such, lore and backrounds are all a part of it..
sure there is a large contigent of people who dont see the difference between a game like EQ and DOOM, and play for an antirely different reason.. thats fine too, you pay the same a month as I do.
One of the more entertaining first-tier PoP flag raids is Terris-Thule, found in the Plane of Nightmares (B). You will need to have gotten your flags from the "Hedge event" in PoN before you can zone in to PoN(B).
This raid can go one of two ways, depending on how well your raid force LISTENS and REACTS to called-out instructions at several key points during the battle....
...but lets start with setup:
For this encounter, you want a standard mix of all classes. Pets are perfectly fine on a TT raid and are quite helpful. Nukers... can never have too many nukers on this one, as at the end this raid will become potentially hectic, and blasting her down fast is a big big help.
Most important in this raid is to have reliable OFF-TANKERS and KITERS. Those last ones... the kiters.. should be heavily buffed on AC and HP's, and be experiensed in kiting very nasty mobs and keeping them away from the raid force.
You do not need any particularly nifty or advanced CHeal rotations or any other overly clever tricks for this raid, other than what I list below in the strats:
Strategy:
Firstly... when you buff up for this raid, you MUST have some of the buffers SAVE their MGB buffs. Do NOT use them all, you will understand why in the next sections. SAVE THOSE MGB's FOR THE FIGHT.
The route to TT is through a long, twisting valley which has some trash mobs at various strategic locations. Some of them are on horseback. None of them are anything amazing... just zerg the crapskies out of them along the way and dispatch of them quickly. Do the same with any and all mobs who are located around the big dome you will come to... it is inside that dome where you will find Terris-Thule. Get everyone up on the zone wall outside the enterance to the dome, and give your last minute instructions, rebuffs, etc.
Like many raid mobs, Terris-Thule (TT) does a few nasty things when she gets to certain levels of health...
(1) At 75% health, she will summon a bunch of "butterflies" who will immediately be all over your raid force. This is not a problem, because I have just told you it will happen hee hee... just be ready and when she is at say... 77% life... have someone in raid shout out "BE READY FOR BUTTERFLIES AT 75..!!!" or some such. Once she summons these butterflies, EVERYONE get OFF of TT and attack and quickly kill those mobs. The only ones who should still be paying attention to TT are your MT, a rogue perhaps, and a cleric or 2 who are keeping them alive. Absolutely NO ONE ELSE should be attacking Terris-Thule... all of you should be whacking and bashing and nuking those pesky butterflies until every single one is dead. Once they are all killed, call out "BUTTERFLIES KILLED" or whatever, and all of you jump right back into the fun and whack the crapskies out of TT.
(2) The next critical point occurs when TT reaches 50% life. She will cast an AE Dispel which will strip all of you of 12 buffs at once. Basically, you will be fully de-buffed... except for one thing: we can run away. Have the raid caller make a hot key that shouts out "EVERYONE OUT OF THE DOME..!!! EVERYONE OUT OUT OUT NOW..!!" etc etc and when TT gets to about 55%, hit that message and EVERYONE run OUT of the dome and get up on the nearby zonewall and wait. The same MT, rogue and healer team will remain behind and whack her until she hits 50%, and blows off her AE dispell. Once she has done so, that crew should shout out "SHE NUKED... SHE NUKED" so that everyone knows it is safe to run back in, and re-engage TT. Immediately re-buff the team who stayed inside as soon as you get back, using MGB's which are the fastest way to get their HP's and such back up to par. This was why you saved those MGB's... to quickly rebuff anyone who was caught in her AE dispell. NO ONE SHOULD RE-ENGAGE TT UNTIL THOSE WHO WERE DEBUFFED HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF.
(3) The nastiest part of this encounter happens when TT reaches 35% life. Have your expert kiters ready, because at 35% she will bring those 4 large gargoyle statues in there to life. THESE GARGS ARE NOT TRASH MOBS... THEY CAN TRIPLE AND QUAD FOR 1100 DMG PER SHOT..!!!! They are easily the nastiest part of this encounter, and if you are not ready to deal with them, they can and WILL wipe out your raid. Again... have your caller shout out "BE READY FOR GARGS..!!! BE READY FOR GARGS..!! KITERS GET READY..!!" when TT gets to about 38% or so. When the gargoyles attack, have kiters immediately aggro them without damaging them too much, and then KITE THEM around the outer area inside the dome... keeping them away from the main raid force and occupied until they can be dealt with. Druids and shammies... keep an eye on those kiters, and patch heal them as necessary. You do NOT want those gargoyles peeling away, and attacking your raid force when TT is still alive. Keep them busy; we will get to the gargs soon enough.
As you give your final instructions outside the dome for this fight, have everyone in the raid repeat "75...50..35" over and over again until they hork... that way, you will always remember to keep an eye on her hp's and be ready to act.
(4) Once the gargoyles have been pulled to the side by your kiters, the rest of the main battle is cake... just start blasting away with your nukers until TT is dead... it will not take more than a minute to drop her last 30% or so. Then, PEEL AWAY the gargs from the kiters one at a time and everyone rapidly kill them... now that TT is dead, your MT can tank them without any distractions. CONTROL THE GAME... DO NOT ALLOW THE GAME TO CONTROL YOU.
Hail the Planar Projection, and get your flag. You are now flagged for Plane of Torment. Zone in to Torment, then go hail the dwarf in PoK and get your free AA point.
Summary:
Save MGB's for the fight... buff up the old fashioned way. Have everyone remember: "75.. 50.. 35" Make hot keys so you can call out instructions rapidly. KITE THOSE GARGOYLES and do NOT hail the Planar Projection until ALL of them have been peeled off your kiters and killed.
If everyone was properly briefed, and acts as soon as they see the proper raid calls... this encounter is easy peasy, and a ton of fun.
Not bad for a girl huh..? Hee heee... yes, women actually play EQ too LOL. Real ones, even.
Thanks for the kind words. Now, go take her out..! She's a blast.
I'll be retiring from EQ soon <<sigh>> ... but many similar "How to" and "Tips" posts of mine can be found here and there on Allakhazam (fantastic site BTW). Check Rydda D'Ar... Lord Seru... Manaetic Behemoth... etc. Raiding tactics were what I always enjoyed the most... but it's time to move on. I'll add things from time to time when I am able. It's been a great 4 and a half years for me playing EQ, and I have made a lot of friends that I will miss terribly. Take care everyone..! //bow
1. If someone else fails the script, and the butterflies spawned, then they stay up, so be careful of them.
2. If TT runs into the wall, she pops back to her spawn point and we think she loses all debuffs. Be warned. This is how we wiped the first time (suceeded 2nd time).
3. Once slowed, a 2 man CH rotation is enough on TT. Unslowed you need 3, and if she hits the wall and pops back, make sure you have 3 on the cycle.
4. The butterflies are almost immune to fire and cold, in fact they may well be totally immune. We used AoE stuns and AoE Magic based nukes to clear them. First time they caused trouble ), second time it was easy. They don't hit very hard - I can't remember getting hit for more than 170 odd.
5. We kited the gargs, but brought them in too early, and nearly lost the raid. Make sure your kiters bring them in only when called to, and everybody keeps their focus. It is too easy with TT eating the dirt for everyone to lose concentration. The gargs hit damn hard and killed more people than TT did. The main tank and CH rotation didn't get a chance to establish themselves and it was a bit messy. They have a lot more hp than the trash mobs leading up to TT.
6. The rebuffing went well, we were all ready for it. We didn't bother running out of the room, we just had every non MGBing healer spam heal the MT until buffs were reestablished. The CH cycle kept on going regardless.
7. Lastly, and probably most importantly : Make sure everyone knows how to get to the hedge. You'll be amazed at the number of people who don't know how to get there, even with the flag ! We ended up with a massive number of creatures in the hedge, and lost a few people.
All in all, we wiped on 1st attempt, then ressed and buffed and won on second, with 6 out of 41 dying. So pretty good going :) This is a great event.
thank you for the excellent post. This info will come in very very handy when we decide to take her down. This is def. one of the more informative posts i have seen . Thanks Rasterburn.
I dropped her on Bristlebane two days ago. She was fairly easy. At first, we had the MT rush her and grabbed agro. When she reached 75% of her health, she spawned her little flies and we took them out. There were plenty of them too. Took one or two minutes to kill them all.
Then, at 52% all except the clerics and MT ran out of the stonehenge and had the rangers stand at the door way. They shot her down to 49% and then we headed back in to fight her. When she reached about 35%, the gargoyles spawned. Now, this got us into a little trouble. Most of our tanks died, except the ST (who was on TT all the time, after that the MT died) and one or two more. The gargoyles went loose all over the raid, but we managed to kill them one by one (I got hit for 1100 twice, ugh :P).
Once they were dead (took us five mins or so, I believe), we were all on Terris again and took her down. About 10 - 15 minutes in total to bring her down.
She dropped a cloak and a shoulder item, plus a few parchments. And I got my flag, lol.
Saturday night we went in and burned her way too fast. All scripts triggered and we ended up wiping with her at 4% because we had all the butterflies and all the gargoyles on us at once.
Round 2 we did it the right way, paced, and ended up winning, but there was odd behaviour...
Since the butterflies weren't killed in round one, by the time we got back for round two they were still up, standing in front of TT, waiting for us. We managed to split them and killed them outside the arena.
Now, when TT got to 75, she spawned the butterflies again, as normal, so we killed them, as normal. But, when she got to 50 or so for the dispel, we ran outside the arena, and the butterflies spawned again - but this time they spawned outside the arena - where we had killed the leftovers from round one. We dispatched them, and the gargoyles spawned at the correct time, and the rest of the script ran normally.
Just thought I'd post a heads up in case anyone else runs into a similar situation with having to do TT in 2 rounds - you may end up having a couple of waves of butterflies.
Machail Ironforge Leader of Shadow of the Dragon Tunare
We took her down with a 47-member raid of avrage lvl 61. We sneaked a few unflagged people in with the 80% rule - best method for this is to kill the guards in PoNA, make raid with who flagged, have them all but raid leader zone in and get him/her to invite unflagged into raid and them zone in once in raid, untill no more can enter the zone. This needs to be done pretty fast tho, otehrwise the guards will re-pop and kill the uninvited members still outside.

Um, notice that the post by YoshMunkeyFoot was EDITED? I've seen multiple posts from this guy advertising his guild. He was apparently polite enough to remove the irrelevant part of his post (i.e. the guild advertisement) after the person you are attempting to flame made his comment about this not being the appropriate place to do that.
So.... lol wtf...the word "guild" very likely WAS used in the original post. wake up please....
