Crude Defiant Cloth Sandals  

 

It doesn't look like there's an entry for this mob yet, but this item dropped off 'an invading gnoll pup'. This mob is part of the tutorial quest "Mercenaries for Hire" available from Secalna Galnor in the Plane of Knowledge. The mob is found in North Qeynos along the Western wall not far from the PoK portal book.

Since there's no mob entry yet, I thought I'd add some of the additional drops of this mob here:
Gnoll Pup Scalp, Ruined Animal Pelt, Tin Ore, Coarse Silk, Rough Silk, Short Beer, Belt Pouch

Also, three of them spawn in this area.

I got them to drop off of an Orc Trooper in Everfrost Peaks

So I decided to come back and give eq a go again. I still have my lvl 68 mage. Being a little more than rusty after over 2 yrs of playing, I went out in the qeynos noob area and practice. Killed a little snake, checked the loot, and these dropped off. It was a freekin' upgrade for my lvl 68 mage for cryin' out loud. WTF is going on? everything i kill has some of thse armor items and many of them are close to being upgrades, with focus, and mana and hp regens...

Is this just some 10 year aniversary items that are just dropping for a few weeks or something permanent? If it's permenent, then those noobie armor quests are useless, and I would guess hunting names for their equipment is basically pointless when you can get better off of a "nothing" mob.

And really, where's the logic of having boots or anything dropping off of a tiny snake anyway? Shouldn't be more than a fang, or the odd egg. Not 5 or 6 items, and some that look like spider webs, etc...

After two years, it really looks like Sony has just turned this game into a mess. Turning what once was an amazing questing game into a mindless looting game.
