Ever sit and read this crap .. I mean really? You have someone saying the solo'd him in 1 hour 20 minutes ... then a few people posting they were witnesses and all agree it was a Solo fight. Oh but we did keep his guards down and outta the way *ding ding ding* ... that aint Solo.
Really the most rediculous thing in these posts is how 1 class say Shaman for example say's (Chest puffed up and Kilt floppin in the wind), yeah I solo'd Grieg and fight ended after 1 hour, in the hallway. Since I know how to position him. ROFLMFAO, a few more posts below it you hav 2 Nec 2 Cle 1 Dru 1 SK all very close in lvl as the Ubbah BS shaman that tell you they Froaked it up and died in 20 minutes with Grieg at 2%.
Yet a bit further down some really Ubbah BS'r tis talking about how he killed it in 40 minutes and it was a very easy fight.

Never the less your all my Hero's ... but, please use a little more Finess when spinning your Yarn. So that when someone bored outta there mind while waiting for another round of golems (which some lvl 75 toon Ele / Time / Ang / Omen / Tss geared toon will just Gang rape soon as they pop)to spawn in PoFear for a 1.0 epic in the works for years. ..... can find it a little more believable.
PS: its time now for the Flaming ... knock your socks off. feel free to bash my spelling / punctuation/ runonsentences :-) . As I have said before ==> I came .. I posted .. and will never be back to read this page again anyway.

Most people post and say they solo'd Grieg just so others know that it is doable and not all that hard.
Anyways, Grieg is so easy these days that as a monk (Level 75 12k hp unbuffed and with my 73 shaman) I duo'd him in a very short amount of time (less then however long Turgur's takes to wear off). So have fun kicking this guys butt for your twinks!

Not like it's a hard thing to do these days, but solo him frequently with 75 cleric, 13.6/2700ish AC self buffed.

He pops on his own.

Just took this mob on Nameless... Heard of a SK soloing him... Monk was 70, Necro(me) was 75... took well over an hour Pet would off tank while Monk regened up to rush in and disc.. whole fight took over an hour... was fun fight through and through.. Much love for old school worlds...

This mob ain't a raid mob anymore, he's gimpie old world stuff. Surprised Alla ain't changed him to just Monster when he's no harder then MPG or RSS named mobs. (Possibly WoS....)

For level 50-60's (you know, level appropriate players) this is still a raid encounter. Surely you wouldn't suggest re-categorizing every raid mob that can be solo'ed by some uber that has no business being there anymore in the first place as a normal xp mob, would you?

Yesterday I 3-boxed Grieg, I used an Anguish geared Bard, and a Tacvi Druid, and a Qvic/Time Shadowknight. Druid never dropped below 90m and the SK never dropped below 30 health. I put Grieg in the left corner of his room as you're walking in. I stuck the druid behind the Spire and it was done after that.
From beginning to end, I had about 40 minutes invested.

Hit with Qvic geared 800 AA druid and 700 AA cleric. Loooong battle (45 minutes for Grieg himself), but pulled it off. Cleric tanking and using maily mark of the blameless and ward of retribution for DPS. Took every ounce of mana we had for his minion then all our mana again after full med for Grieg. A real blast though :)

Grieg is fun, just did him with 65 monk, 65 zerker, 64 dru, 70 pally, and 70 clr.
Only one with time/qvic gear was clr, rest were baz gear or PoP.
Walking proof that it doesnt take a group of EP+ geared ppl to kill him. Took right around 1 hour to kill grieg himself.
P.S.
Pally was tank and had less than 10k HP buffed.

Oh and had a unkown lvl chanter (boxed was blue to me at 70) Spire shard and Ulak dropped, chanter got spire and ulak rotted

I also watched Bumdail solo Grieg's lvl 70 shammy barb in his skirt. I am a lvl 70 cleric and only watched from a distance. did not have repops of the guards till after the fight and fight finished up in the hallway bottom lvl of stairs. the madness continues. GRATS AGAING SKIRTY

yay shms can solo i solo'd grieg last night on AB lvl 70 shm 11.3k hps buffed was a hour and a half long fight... shm dps was a fun fight he droped the BP,a sword, and the DL port clicky

To be honest I witnessed this fight with a few friends of mine. No help at all from anyhow. All we did was help clear the guards. He wouldn't even take a damage shield buff.

He casted this spell on my monk when I feigned him in the room without having aggro. He didn't aggro my monk afterwards. I guess it's just one of those things. It's definitely not an effect one gets while aggro'd though.

He casts that when agro'd before clearing guards. Guards are indiff and will reset if agro'd when he casts that spell.
Yep learnt that when I couldn't pull him into the hallway. I killed the 4 guards and when I tried to hit him he just mezzed and invis'd me. I then realised the other guards were invis and I had to clear them before I could pull Grieg.
A fun fight, easily handed with a 13k Buffed 70 Beastlord and 70 Cleric with about 9k mana

downed grieg bout 30 minutes ago. duoed him, 70 monk (me) and a 70 cleric. both geared through txevu, i tanked, 10.2k and 2k ac. fight took approx. hour. knockback is very annoying ^_^. dropped spells bp and the horse, been after griegs horse for a while, trophy $$.
who cares?let me see you duo him with 2 level 55's pre pop geared Tough GUY!

I tried this fellow a few days ago with my Necro and my botted Paladin twink and have never had such a funny fight ( and longest :P ). First I killed the few guards ( low level pet works nice, had max 2 mobs in camp )and gathered some mana for the fight. My plan was to tank it with Paladin and dot him here and there and use pet as
extra dps, btw. the beginning was a real mess. Tank was more stunned and knocked back, than he could hit him, so I changed plans and delegated the Necro pet as tank. Used Pal / Nec to heal the pet occasionally and dotted him down slowly. After 20 or 25 min the fight was over. Killed him 2 times so far, but I am still waiting for the Necro weapon and/or port wand. BTW, does anyone know his respawntime, is it 3 5 or 7 days?

70 beastlord 12k hp + 70 cleric boxed. the longuest part is really getting a named that drops the key to open his door ;).
clearing the 10 guardians take about 40mins since I'm saving mana and don't want to be low before engaging him .. They repop 1 hour after death so plan where you want to position your healers.
Cleric never ever go below 90%mana and that's including when wasting mana healing my pet cause I'm out of range (and blind) due to the knockback. He has a ton of hp I don't want to know how many but it takes about 45mins to get him dead with me and my pet for dps.
The blind is annoying but he seem to cast it alot more at the beginning of the fight and slack out midfight, but I interrupt him so mutch I can't really know.
Snare is curable with 2 cast of remove greater curse but it's useless to cure it if you doing him with low numbers , he will just get you back.
Fully slowable, flurrie alot but I think he hits average for 300's /yawn, I think it's a fun fight and is pretty much always up on other servers I guess.
I have yet to see non rotting stuff, so I just give the stuff out to people in zone that needs before calling out friends alts.

65 cleric & 70 necro. We'd been killing him with 65 shaman, 70 necro, 70 chanter, 65 cleric and decided to have the shaman/chanter sit out to see if we could do it. Took about 24 minutes.

Was bored today and figured out that had to do something i havent done for ages, so i boted up my toons + friends and headed over to griegs end...
Grieg was up, as usual.. so i decided to try 4boxing him..
69 War 11k hp 2k ac buffed
70 shaman decent mana pool
70 cleric
68 shadowknight
i had 98% mana left when grieg died 1hour and 30 minutes later. spent 30 minutes clearing his guards and i barely slowed during the 2 hours of figthing.
Used cleric pet, for extra dps!?! ;) (AE don't hurt it)
I had no Kei or extra mana regen.
Was a long but fun fight :)
Got the black horse and ichorflow for my warrior twink :P

Greig droped for 7 people yesterday. Fight took mabey 30minutes (mabey alot less), though we did mess the position up when he was around 50% it just made it that more interesting. Main group was...

As far as strats go, all i was basicly doing on my cleric was chain casting cure blidness on our tank, druid kept everyone else alive. Greig does flurry if i remember right, his "fling" AE is prettymuch unresistable (atleast with less then 300MR) and makes the fight fun! He doesnt regen much, but his HP is godly. All in all it was afun fight, 4 spells, the BP, spire, shard, bonecurse, and orb of luclinite all droped. mostly trophys to those that wanted them, still no SK spells. -.-
