I just turned 60 Enc and have my KEI spell and now they've got AA's that make the KEI spell last longer. It's going to be a while before I can get my AA's up there. Someone mentioned getting a Mage to summon me something that would help my KEI's last longer (no one wants just a plain old KEI now). Any idea what this would be?

Bestah buff in the game for everyone but Warriors and Rogues on our un-updated Mac server. Fortunetly, the level minimum for this spell does not exist, and Hero Bracers are not nerfed.

Could someone confirm whether you have to be 44, 45, or 46 Level to receive KEI.

To get the single-group cast KEI you need to be 45. To get the MGB cast KEI you need to be 46.
I'm kinda wondering that myself. I've been told by a guildie I have to be bugged cause I happened to be near a MGB KEI at lvl 45 and it stuck, while at 46 neither MGB V or PoT9 would stick. And no I did not have any other buffs on, I was completely buffless. Haven't tried to get them cast directly on me though vs. a MGB.

Just to clear this up for anyone reading this, who might be confused; to get KEI to stick on you (MGB or otherwise) you need to be 45 (as KEI is a level 60 chanter spell), to get single-cast virtue you need to be 46 (virtue is a level 62 cleric spell), to get MGB virtue you need to be 47 (Hand of Virtue is a level 65 cleric spell).

virtue/po9 are higher level then kei there for making 46 the lowest level for those 2 buffs.

I have a 62 enchanter with research(200) and 5% geerlok, I have succeeded in 6 of 8 combines, I can not say for sure...but my experience was 2 fails at 59 at 60 I was 2 for 2 and at 61 I was 4 for 4...I never succeeded pre 60...and have yet to fail since 60...I am pretty sure you can succeed prior to 60 but I do think you have a better chance at success once 60+...in my early days of research I did notice that I was able to succeed more often on a spell that was equal or lower level than my enchanter...

Purchase the Yaeth's Compendium books from the assistant over in Gunthak to find out. It is a series of 5 books with the recipes for all the enchanter spells from 51-60 that drop in Kunark, Velious and Luclin.
To answer your question, though, KEI is formed from the left and righthand pieces of Yaeth's Compendium pg 25 and pg 26, plus the standard quill and parchment. Combine them in your Phantasmist's Tome, which you get from the researcher over in Gunthak. It is an 8 slot book.
(No, your Tome of Endless Enchantments won't allow for the combine, so yes, it did lie in regards to the name "Tome of ENDLESS Enchantments".)

Not sure why they are doing it, but on KB the price for the scroll dropped big time after LOY. I look at the scroll and drool everytime i'm in the bazaar and it averages about 7k. I've seen as low 5k, but it was quickly snagged up. You might have to pay 30k for VoQ or something but KEI is much lower now.

I'll ask the 50 million dollar question: How is this researchable? anyone know or do we just know its researchable? My guild isn't close to being powerful enough to kill anything that drops this spell and I don't feel like spending 30-50k on the scroll if I can research it.

Within 30 minutes you should have between 10 and 20 LQ, MQ, and HQ pelts (lions are especially good at dropping MQ and HQ pelts, and dont forget to turn the LQ ones into leather padding before you sell them). Plus, you get the added bonus of respawning the zone, so the more lions you kill, the more griffennes, griffons and hill giants will come your way to start the xp hunt. This is a fun and easy way to both make back cash as well as advance your XP while enjoying a KEI!

On the Nameless Sever KEI Scroll has not gone from 30-40K to 90K+. That's insane. Because of PoP no one camps Luclin. The only way for the most part to get this spell is to have a guild that is 60+ to kill high luclin mobs. And atm I don't have that. I'm at a loss...

being a necro with 35 mana/tic regen, chanters cast on me all the time while sittin at the bank in PoK and I don't even ask for it. KEI and tons of other buffs just show up on my screen. if the buff has some hp or sta I keep it, if not they get clicked off, right along with KEI. sure it would be nice to get donations for necro buffs, oh yea, we don't have any. Chanters should be happy with what they do get, it's better than recieving nothing for a spell that costs mana to cast and not a pdot.

Question: What is the mana regen per tick on KEI?
I am able to make a potion that gives +3 mana regen per tick. It costs me nearly 100p to make a single dose. I'm guessing it's not worth the time /sigh.

Clarity regenerates 4 to 7 per tick, depending on the level of the caster.
No, the Elixer of Greater Concentration doesn't come CLOSE to KEI, and since KEI is pretty much always available in the Nexus for 100pp, it's not price competative. But you can use the potion wherever you are, without having to find a lvl 60 enchanter.

Anyone who doesn't donate at least 1pp per level they are is just plain cheapo. Are there really peeps out there that honestly believe the effects of KEI on a caster is only worth 20pp? Are these the same peeps who complained about EQ not being able to run on a P90 running Win95 anymore? If you are cheap at heart.... how about experimenting in not being such a miser.... remember it's only a game and it's not real money.

I donate around 30-40 on Stromm, or 100 if its being cast on a whole group.
BTW, it was very difficult to find a KEI caster on Stromm before LDoN as very few chanters hung around Nexus or PoK. Now that KEI is in such demand, its 10 times easier to find a chanter buffing for donation.

I also play on Prexus and I never pay more than 10pp for regular KEI. When big-daddy Mcfly is up in Nexus with his fully extended 4+ hour KEI I will give him the required 20pp "donation" but that is the exception to the rule. Also, now that I have a steadier income in the game I don't pay less than 10pp any more either. There was a time in my 40's when 3-5pp for each 2.5-4 hours of game time was expensive and hit my bank pretty hard. I couldn't really afford more than that and I was never turned away for offering so little.
I understand the spell cost is high and many people have criticised me for paying so little. My argument, then and now, is that if the caster doesn't want my 10pp, then he/she will not accept it and will not invite me to the group. If they take what I offer, that means they are content, and so am I.

Are you kidding me? I can make over 300 plat in an hour and I'm level 40.. Hell, a level 20 could make that much plat, hunting mobs that give good EXP.

I wasn't sure myself, so I asked one of the enchanters casting KEI. He told me that the average was around 30pp, but that he had several donations of 50, 75, and 100pp. KEI is a huge bonus to my preferred style of hunting, but I don't make pp at anywhere the rate of one of these enchanters in my usual xp hunts -- it might take me a good hour or 2 of the 3 or so that KEI lasts to make back 100pp. So I think that donating less than 100pp is perfectly fine in such cases.

KEI price on Veeshan is from 20pp-30pp depending on regular, extended or ultra 4.5hr KEI
On Xegony 10-20pp is about norm...if you're lucky, or a scam artist like some people I know, they'll hand it out for free

they will hand it out for free but accept any donation wether iot is of 5pp or 100pp it all goes back to the guild who lent them the 20+kpp to get the spell, so they are glad to get anything

I think the 60+ chanters who "require a donation" is just ridiculous. Yes...it's true that we take time out of our xping to cast it on others but we choose to do this. Noone ever said you have to cast it on anyone else who isn't grped with you. Besides that, it only costs us mana to cast, not a pdot or any other component, like a necro has already said on here. I always tell ppl that my KEI is free. Do I get donations? Yes I do but I never accept outrageous ammounts of a donation for a buff that will only last the person 4 hours and some odd minutes. The average donation I get on Ay Ro is anywhere from 20-40 depending on the day but everyone on the server already knows that I won't charge them and it's completely up to them whether they give me anything or not. Just my 2cp though.
