I've read below that Naggy has an AoE Fire spell that hits for 500. Is that 500 max with NO resists? Or is that 500 with a 100 SvF? I'm trying to get an accurate breakdown of how SvF minimizes Naggy's fire-based damage.
For example, with my resist gear on I have an unbuffed SvF of 110. Without the gear my SvF is 38. With my resist gear, I take 13 points of damage per second while swimming in lava. Without it, I take 38 points of damage. So, with my current resist gear, I only take 1/3 of the fire damage I would've taken from lava.
With raid buffs (+45 SvF druid buff, +70 SvF Bard Song, and equipping the summoned Elemental Blanket which gives +15 SvF among other resists), my SvF will be 240. How will that equate to damage taken from Naggy's AoE breath?
I've tinkered with some calculations... but honestly I don't think this is simple algebra. I don't think there's a simple, progressive scale for damage to resist.
That said, I'd like to see some factual information posted about the amount of damage you've taken while fighting Nagafen and your SvF during that battle. I'm sure that fire damage varied during the fight, so give me a range. For example, if your SvF was 200 did you take 40-200 points of damage with the average being close to 90 per blast?
Any valid information posted under this thread will get an "Excellent" rating from me. :-) I think this is one of the most critical issues on a Naggy raid. Thanks for your help.
