Producer's Letters: Housing Storage & HoT Preludes

EverQuest Producer Thom Terrazas (AKA Phathom) touched upon housing storage, expansion pre-orders, and House of Thule prelude events in two editions of the Producer's Letter today.

He had this to say about storing NO TRADE and LORE items in your houses:

Greetings Norrathians,

I was talking with the team today regarding some of the feedback and comments we’ve been reading on the beta forums and we thought it would be good to clarify some information regarding what type of items you can store in your house.

Originally, we did not plan to enable players to store No-Drop and Lore Items inside their house or plot. However, after a lot of feedback to have this possible (from many of our players) we went back to the drawing board and fit it into our schedule.

To clarify, if you are the owner of the house, you will be able to store or place No-Drop and Lore Items in your house. Woot!

Best regards,

Thom Terrazas

And he had this to say about expansion pre-orders and events leading into the House of Thule expansion:

Hey Norrathians!

On September 9th, we launched pre-order for the EverQuest® House of Thule™ expansion (EverQuest’s 17th expansion), releasing on October 12th. This year, we’re offering two different types of pre-order. The first is our standard pre-order that includes all past expansions and some very nice items only obtainable through the House of Thule purchase. The second is our Collector’s Edition which includes all the same items in our standard PLUS bonus items including an additional mount, larger bag and more!

Once House of Thule launches on October 12th, the Collector’s Edition price will go up to $89.99 so reserve your copy as early as possible for the best value!

We’re inviting you to come in and kick off the HoT expansion experience with launch events that started on September 13th. Follow along and participate to reveal the HoT storyline and get rewards before the game even launches. Additional events will follow each week thereafter, so gear up with your friends, guild-mates and better-halves through the conclusion of the events at 11:59 PM on October 11th.

See you in game!

On behalf of the EverQuest Team,

Thom Terrazas
AKA Phathom

expanded the message wondering if they actually were gonna say something about ammount of presales encouraged them to set the price at something more reasonable.

I guess its better to sell a few collectors editions than potentially more................
