Summon Corpse

Aren't these spells useless now as no corpse summoning needed anymore. I thought they were but saw people still selling them in the Bazaar today?
I don't know if I'd call it useless...... granted without having to do a corpse run anymore to get your gear.... a 96% rez is still kind of nice if it's available.... and for that, you need a corpse. If a necro is in zone (or better GROUP!!), it's cheaper than the summoner.

The mob pop outside split paw.
For info its a heal class one ( i think Cleric ) so prepare for a long fight .. this mob has a ton of mana !

This is not true. I have a level 70 necro and have ALWAYS been able to summon OTHER people's corpses using this level 35 spell "Summon Corpse" as well as the level 57 spell "Conjure Corpse."
After reading Buffinator's post, I thought maybe they nerfed these spells after they added the corpse summoners in the guild lobby.
So, I tested. I had my level 15 bard group with my level 70 necro in Paludal caverns. I had my bard die deep within paludal. I had the bard zone back into paludal after his death. I had my necro target the bard and cast this level 35 spell . . and YES . . the bard's corpse was summoned directly to him. I did the same using the level 57 spell - and it worked too.
So this spell DOES summon other people's corpses . . . not just the necro casting it - as Buffinator suggests.
The target type is "self" because the person doing the summoning is the necro. This does NOT mean the necro can summon only his own corpse and not others.
In order for this spell to work properly:
1. The person who died, the corpse to be summoned, and the necro summoning the corpse should all be in the same zone as the corpse.
2. You must have the proper type of coffin. Jade Inlaid for level 35 or Tiny Jade Inalid for level 57.
If the spell fails, it's probably because one of the above was not satisfied or there was a transient bug. Both spells worked perfectly fine for me when I tested today.

tried to use this spell last night 3 times. Took the jade inlaid coffin all 3 times but did not summon the corpse. Any ideas as to what I may have done wrong? Target was in zone and in my group and had consented me just in case.

I had the exact same problem! Tried summoning twice in Droga..

It took the coffin both times, never gave us a corpse. Petitioned it, and during the wait for a response my friend went invis and got their corpse. GM responded and said that nothing was wrong because there wasn't a corpse in the zone. Obviously, because my friend retrieved it! The GM didn't refund me.

What zone where u summoning in, there are zones ( lke pop zones) where once the GY timer pops u cant sumon the corpse but u can waste reagents trying. U do infact summon teh corpse but it instantly pops back to the Plane GY.

People should be selling this in bazaar found one for 20pp which i rather pay then hunt for it

Hello,
I finally landed this spell.
At first shot, The Ishva Mal owned my level 42 Necro.
So I took down my level 54 paladin and owned that wench. It was a long fight and she Con'd Blue to my 54 Paladin.
But I got the Spell, so my Necro is happy.
Edit: Forgot to add, the The Ishva Mal spawned just a little east of Gnoll hill in SK both times.

I'm glad they reduced this spell's casting level down from 39th to 35th. Before, between this spell and his little brother Lesser Summon Corpse , the two spells created a vortex for levels 37 & 38 where you could not summon your corpse.

I have been hunting all over Split paw and have killed all the Gnolls there a few times and no spells have droped. Is there someone I should be looking for? Please let me know who I need to kill or where I need to be to get this spell to drop? Thanks for any help or posts!

Where is something that drops this spell? Ive killed all the gnoles 3 times over now and none of theese guys are there.

have a loc on mobs that drop this spell, ph's and such?
With the revamp of splitpaw, where are we going to be able to get this spell now? IE no more Ish there with the update.

just killed Ish in South Karana.
spell drops in splitpaw... hard way to get spell is to camp ishva mal... easy way to get spell is to camp the wide mouth snakes in the water before getting to ishva mal.. It is an uncommon drop but she drop... oh yes she will :)
