I go on Nest runs with a group of 2 monks, a rogue, a druid and a cleric (I'm a shaman), and with champ, panther x 3, druid DPS'ing and the cleric healing we can get crazy xp here. We'll pop lesson and finish the mission in about 30 minutes, and get 5+ AA's in the 30 minutes during the lesson burn. We're mostly Tacvi geared, but some CoA gear as well as DoN dragon gear. Most groups will need a tank, but if you have the crazy DPS and monks who are able to, it's a great spot to go.

Norrath's Keepers: Lair of the Blackwing

It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Gordish Frozenheart (click for map image) in the Norrath's Keepers camp of the Lavastorm Mountains. Pre-requisites for requesting: - Minimum Level 63 - Minimum "apprehensive" faction with Norrath's Keepers Hail him to get a quest selection window pop-up. You have been assigned the task 'Lair of the Blackwing'. There is a flock of drakes that regularly fly from the Nest to hunt our scouting parties. We need a group of adventurers to journey to their lair and clear out their nests. Slay six of these creatures and return with their talons as proof your kills. Be warned, our scouts report that these black wing drakes are part of a corrupted brood, a clutch that hatched near the epicenter of the curse that has spread through the Nest. It is whispered that dark magic now corrupts their bodies, making them more volatile and malignant than ordinary drakes. This will not be an easy task. Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here. Touch the portal to the Nest 0/1 (The Broodlands) The entrance is the dragon portal in the far northeastern part of the Broodlands. Kill 6 Black Wing Drakes 0/6 (The Nest) Loot 6 Black Wing Drake Talons 0/6 (The Nest) Deliver 1 Black Wing Drake Talons to Gordish Frozenheart 0/1 (Lavastorm Mountains) Head into the earth/sand wing (northern wing of the zone) and kill 6x "a black wing drake" (found throughout the caverns). Loot 6x "Black Wing Drake Talon" from them, and then hand in one of them to Gordish Frozenheart to complete. Excellent work. You have cleared the way for the Norrath's Keepers scouting parties. Now they no longer have to watch the skies in fear and can concentrate on their missions. I'll inform my superiors of your success. They should be most pleased! Quite hard with a normal 70 group, be ready to get a well balance, well geared group before you go there, all mob yellow or red to 70, can be compare to Rifseeker sanctum, so should more be seen as a 65-70 task not 60
Yes you also get a Norrath's Keepers Token after completion of this task.

- From what I've seen so far there are 2 Black Wing Drakes in each of the Hatching rooms in the Dry Region.

This mission is a cake walk for any group with a tracker. Just track your nearest black wing drakes and fight towards them. When we did it, there looked to be about 3-4 extra drakes up on top of the ones we needed to kill, and they all dropped a talon for us.
