same story as others having an easy evening farming in the temple see an 'easy' guard respawn, throw darkness on him to start the pull, resist highest that he landed was 396 but he landed enough and stunned often to chop through my silk gear and 5000hp in very short time
I just met my first one of these in the Assassin room on 1st floor. They are stunnable by paladin spells Force of Akera and Quellious' Word of Tranquility. These are tougher than the Commander on the first floor, or at least on par with him for difficulty. Flurried once and max hit was 310.
[Edit] After fighting a few more of these and another Commander, I think the Commanders are just slightly harder than the Elites, but just barely. The Elites are all SK types I believe. All that I have fought have Harm Touched me, and I've resisted Dooming Darkness and seen them casting other spells.
The heading is correct. Some of them can't be slowed. We killed about 5 in a row, and I slowed em all. Then a 6th popped, and ran through us like a lawn mower. Got the "can't be slowed" message.
An Elite Temple Guard has also been reported to drop the song: Chorus of Replenishment (Area effect C2/HP rgen/Stamina rgen)
Sure enough after camping Shissar Assassin room for 2 hours, we had quite a few Elites pop and one dropped this song. I have raided here 4 times and none of the other shissar ever dropped this song, nor have I seen it reported on this site or from other players it drops from any other shissar, except named.
So if you want this song for your bard you need to kill these guys. :)
He does flurry and enrages, but his highest hit on me (59 paladin, 1000+ ac)is 310. They also drop other Shissar weapons. 6/22 or something like that sword, a dagger 7/24 int, and a war hammer and a claymore, dont remeber the exact stats, but for the levels that it takes to take them down, it is disapointing. They are good exp though 8)
Actually the highest that an Elite Guard can max for is 415. While most of them max around 370-380 range, there are a couple that are of a higher level and get all the way up to 415. If you ever want to know a max on a MoB, just have your cleric CH you at the beginning of a fight and then sit down immediately and they can tell you for sure. When you are sitting and get hit, you are hit for maximum melee damage everytime, regardless of level and/or AC. I record the max of every mob that I meet so that I can time CH with my handy calculator... and scrolling down the Ssra list has these listed at 415max 2x 117 bash. For you fellow clerics out there, that translates into 2607 max damage output from these in 10 seconds if they are not slowed. YEOUCH!

Im a barbarian warrior and I have gotten close to the other shissar and they are around twice as tall as I am so this woman probably isnt shrunk. Its that the shissar are fugging HUGE. I have changed the view while fighting them so I know alittle about what Im talking about. Now on the other hand if your an ogre war these guys arent really all that big. Of course when your looking down all the time to see the other people in your group you tend to forget how big you really are. I didnt realize just how big my barb war was till a few days ago. Or I could just be a ******. Take your pick.
Looks like I'm the only mothafugga getting hit today. LUCKY ME!!!!!
LOL! The PC isn't shrunk, she's in the background....it's called "perspective"! The screenshot was taken close to the MOB, with another player in the background....
