If you are interested in making cash, then do not hunt these guys. If you are high enough level, you should farm the orcs. Collect vast amounts of velium and sell in bazaar. The spawns are endless, lots of velium, and good loot besides velium. I sometimes find I can make more cash killing orcs than these guys when I sell to merchant. In the long run, orcs are much better cash. I am not saying that the geo's arent, because I have made tons off of them as well. Also, orcs get you faction with town.

I do believe you left off chipped diamond. Which sold for 160pp for me to an amiably merchant with no charisma bonuses.
These guys drop chipped versions of every gem out there from what I've seen.
The chipped gems are worth about the same as a normal version - difference being that they don't stack and aren't useful for anything to date - just merchant bait.

Whenever i want money i come here, very easy for me to clear now, and even with light blues, i can still pull off a fair amount of exp as a bonus.
Last time i came here this is exactly what i ended up with as far as loot goes. Was here for a total of 7 hours. Listed loot is in order from what i saw to be most valuable.

Yes, Geonids have an unwritten faction. This faction works together with the Geonid Collective faction (Phenocryst, named geonid in WL is in those factions).
There's an INT caster quest involving both factions. If you killed only once a geonid and are not an enchanter, I'm not sure you can complete it.

Yes, 1pp-10pp, and No.
I solo the regular Geonids with my 36 Monk, I dont see why you cant kill them with two people. Good exp too, half a blue each. Only thing that sucks about this camp is that they run and the other Geonids assist, and it is pretty close quarters. With a snarer you should have no problem.
This is the best zone to make money if you can get the geonid camp to your self. The orcs are good as well if you can get frozen weapons from the orc foremans.Im a level 54 monk so for me the geonids arent too difficult and i really like it when a focus gem or other named type geonid spawns.

Sure, this response is coming from experiences on my lvl 33 Druid alt, so keep that in mind. The evening I spent 1-2 hours helping a 42 cleric and 37 Ranger (yes, Druids can help higher-ups, especially after taking off the healing penalty...) the loot was pretty crummy. In clearing out the Geonids (even taking out the Focus Gem, twice, and Gem Collector...) we split about 150p. That's only 50pp per. In Rathe Mountains you might have this after 3 HG kills.
Now, our kind ranger pointed out that SOMETIMES he has seen chipped diamonds drop, and they sell for 160p to a vendor. That would have helped my image of camping the Geonids, if we saw one of those babies drop...

I was wondering if these can be made into jewelry that benefits from the added stats. I have a chipped black pearl (+2dex +2agi) and if that could be worked into a ring that would be awesome, i could in theory get a chanter to make me a +8dex/agi ring to replace the +6 one im using right now. Im not sure if it works like that with these though. Any thoughts?

Nope, you need a bar of metal (Silver, Electrum, Ect;) and the gem, nothing else ( to my knowledge...) but I know you cant make other items into the EXACT thing you need, and you cant change Creature dropped items (discluding gems... and other things).
But I have NO CLUE if i'm 100% right, so dont flame me if i'm not

with high enough cha you can sell the chipped diamonds for 225pp... And that was on my druid. Should try it on my chanter who has higher cha sometime to see what I could get off one of them.

Overall if you can get into the Geo tunnel and keep killing rockheads (Geos) so that the Focus Gems and Gem Collectors spawn you end up with pretty decent loot. Your faction will eventually become so bad you are KOS to them (Myself and a ranger friend of mine cannot sit next to them and med anymore they take great delight in smacking us for that)so you will start to see them agro to you after several levels of killing nothing but Geos.
Conversly it runs approxamately the same amount of loot as killing Hill Giants in RM does, is just a tad bit safer and you can also run to the bank anytime you need to and stash away your loot. There have been some nights I have made several thousand plat off of the chipped gems I looted from these guys (benefits of having 115 CHA and a sweet guildhall to sell them at =') ) and I plan to hunt them any time the opportunity presents itself.

spending most of my time in CC i learned lots of stuff here. first of all these names geos, focus gem and gem collector both drop gems from 55pp-190pp. chipped star ruby is the worst and chipped dimond is the best. u only sell these to the store and nothing more.

i am a necro and when i equipped my frostone stein i had 70cha and i sold it to a merchant for around 133plat it's a nice loot to sell to merchants.

Okay, I have killed 2 of these and each has dropped a different kind of gem. 1 Chipped Ruby and 1 Chipped Sapphire each adding +2 str and +2 other stat. Here's the deal tho, they are not equipable, they are not lore, not no-drop, but have stats... So, any idea where a gem with stats could be used? I have an Enchanter friend, if I cannot find some use for them I might allow her to try jewelry with them, though I seriously doubt that they would be usable in her jewel kit. I can find no info on what these gems are for, any information would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

What is the Chipped Black Sapphire for? I'm getting all sorts of Chipped gems from these guys.
One of them conned blue to me at 50, so they must be at at least 36 at max. Drops super nice money loot, though.
