especially now that it is so hard to get an LDoN and when you do get an LDoN the augs never drop. Would be nice to have a sub 200 trivial tradeskill to convert these to type 7 augs. The +2 isn't exactly uber so maybe a nice 150 - 200 trivial that can be accomplished by someone that would actually want to equip a +2dex +2 agi aug. I is a way to give people something meaningful along the way instead of expecting them to just powerlevel to 60 then enjoy the game.

This drops in Crystal Caverns off of the Focus Gem and the Gem Collector and sometimes the regular geonids, is one of the cheapest chipped gems u can sell to a vendor. That is about the only use of these chipped gems, even though they all have some kind of stats on them, is to sell them to the vendors there in CC, the Chipped Diamonds and Black Sapphire's sell to the vendors for well over a 100pp apiece and is why the Geo camp there is very good for money farming, and in a zone with a bank and merchants u can use after a little faction work killing the orc's there it is a great zone for monks who have their weight issues, also the orcs their drop the velium ore, which can sell pretty good in the bazaar to smith's.
