camping the shadowed men in innothule swamp now.
There are 4 mobs and respawn is ~6 minutes and I've been here 90 minutes so thats 60 shadow men so far.
I've had one stone drop and TONS of everything else

Just found one in Lavastorm on a shadowed man. It was a necromancer mob.
Does this drop on Progression servers? I've killed a ton of shadowed men so it's definitely not common. I did get the drop for the incandescent gloves, and a couple shadowed rapiers for the JBoots quest, but no shining stone.
To answer my own question, I did get this drop off a shadowed man in Innothule swamp.

Some of the Shadowed men loot drops are very low percentage on their loot table.

a lore item you can give to anyone its cause its a no drop is the reason why you cant give it to anyone..

A Skinning Stone:
Characteristics-
1) Spawns randomly on the floor or Eastern Wastes in the continent of Velious.
2) Is used to make the Coldain Smithy Knife which is turned in after you have completed and have the Third Coldain Ring (Silver Coldain Insignia Ring) to obtain the Platinum Coldain Insignia Ring, the fourth coldain ring.
3) Is used to make the Dire Wolf Hide cloak, turn in two medium dire wolf furs and two skinning stones into one of the snowfang gnolls and you receive a Dire-Wolf Hide Cloak.

1) Drops randomly off of Shadowmen found in Innothule Swamp, West Commonlands, Lesser Faydark, Lavastorm Mountains, Kithicor Forest, Nektulous Forest andSouthern Plains of Karana.
2) Is used to obtain the Rod of Insidious Glamour.
Ok, now other then the name similarities, can you plase tell me the other similiarities? So remember, A SKINNING STONE & A SHINING STONE are two different things used for different quests found on different continents in different zones. Can I make it clearer? :)

Actually, the skinning stones are part of the dire wolf cloak quest. You give 2 of these and 2 medium quality dire wolf furs to Ergez in Iceclad and you get your cloak. It's a very good 30's cloak. I'm still wearing it at 41.
I killed the preist finnaly toook about a hour to find him
Last try: that skinning knife in EW is for the Coldain Ring quest. This has nothing to do with the shining stone.
I have killed so many shadowed men that I have over 500pp in the bank just from them. Have they Nerfed this item to a RARE, or is it just my bad luck? BTW, have tried in almost every zone.
I killed about 30 shadowed men in Innothule the other day trying to get rapier for JBoots quest. This stone dropped 3 times.

Just bad luck my friend, i've sat in shadow men camps and seen pretty much everything drop, then i decide i wanna go do a quest, i go camp it and it never drops. Verant just likes to make people want something so bad then yank it away from them at the last moment.....sigh! BTW i've only seen probably 3 stones outta 300 or so shadowmen

In fact, ALL shadowed men seem likely to drop this stone, but it's quite uncommon (not rare, but not too common).

Got lost in the snow in Eastern Wastes se or sw of the fort from the bridge from Ice Clad saw a red dot. Don't have a loc so don't bother asking. Clicked on the red dot and got a stone? It said Shiny or Shinning ??? Anything on this?

The stone you are talking about is the Skinning Stone. It is part of a Shawl quest in Turgadin.
Actually its a part of a ranger quest, unconnected with the shawl quests. Bah! And now I can't find which one. It involves giving 2 skinning stones and something else to someone, I believe in Thurgadin, but Allakhazam has no listing of skinning stones in the quest list. Ah well, I assure you, however, having been working on the shawl quests, that skinning stones are NOT used in them. ;)
Try again, it's actually a quest that you give to a gnoll in IC near the tower of frozen shadow. You give him the 2 stones and a dire wolf pelt (HQ i think) and he gives you a cloak. Ranger can use it, but it's not only ranger. He has other quests as well.

I didn't see no drop on the info they gave above and was wondering if it was. I saw another item that did't say it was no drop before, so I went to get the item for a friend and it ended up being no drop.

Of course it is found on creatures but which ones?I am told they drop of Shadowman priest. Hope that is correct.
