It says it works on creatures up to level @1... is that supposed to be 71? @ is on 2 on my keyboard... if it's 21 I'll be disappointed I wasted an invis potion running to rss to pick it up

EDIT: Ah, it says in the combat ability description... level 70. Never mind

Phantom Call
# Jan 16 2008 at 12:57 AM Rating: Decent
This comes in handy in zones such as hoh.
It has longer range than phantom call,
and comes in handy with mobs with longer argo ranges.

Phantom call requires you to get closer,
but mezzes them much easier.
If you judge it right though with the cry,
you shouldn't have any troubles splitting.

I barely use this because half the time mobs are either above 70, or when they aren't I get the old "this mob is unaffected" blah blah blah.

it sucks because it truly doesnt pacify the mob it barly has much of an affect for splitting

but still it helps

Perhaps something has changed since the above post, but I figured I would update.

The reaction radius is amazing with this line of pacify skills. You practically have to stand on top of the mob to get it to aggro, or pull another mob directly through it. I have pulled mobs so close to the pacified mob that they *almost* touch and still did not get their aggro.

On Phinigel the current level cap is 70. The prime leveling areas are Wall of Slaughter and Infected Paw. 90% of the mobs in both these zones can be pacified by this ability and makes monks amazing pullers.
Phantom Cry

The truely disappointing part of this is that it's exactly the same duration and distance of Phantom Shadow and cost more endurance. Nice of SOE to make sure that it's slightly less range than the agro range of mobs as low as those found in Sol Ro Tower. Nice waste of effective upgrade... Why didnt SOE actually upgrade Cry with a 250 range lull that really worked ? Another false promise delivered Sony Style : ( . Standard Vapor.

it really sucks that rogues get this awesome disc thats an upgrade to one similar to our innerflame and we get stuck with a paci that doesnt work on half the mobs in places like muramite proving grounds. just my 2cp worth

this disc rocks for monks. I dont have it yet, and pulling in High DS intstant zones with no chanter sucks. With this disc I can once agian pull effectivly.

this disc wouldnt suck so much if it had a lower recast time or the duration was higher... 3 ticks is 18 seconds and recast is 20 this is only good for spliting 2 mobs and thats about it

That's exactly how all the monk pacify disc's work. They are designed to split mobs only.
However, you notice they are unresistable.
Any monk that gets this will already be well aware of how they work and how to use it.
The other classes had the biggest adjustment with their OoWar pacify spells since they removed the frenzy radius of all the OoWar pacify spells. That means that the aggro range of the mob is not affected. You can't pacify a mob and walk up near it - it will aggro. Since monks could only ever pacify one mob at a time, they never really got used to pacifying their way through groups of mobs.
It still works great for pulling, but it does take adjusting.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 29 2005 at 3:25 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) 3 mobs if you have Ancient Phantom Chaos wich like all ancient spells should (I don't have it) be on a different timer.
