Diseased based DoTs have virtually no agro while poison based have lots of agro. Our different bst DoTs are useful in distinctly different situations.

By the time the druation of this spell has run its course, you should have been able to cast Scorpion Venom, or the new poison based dot at least 2 times. So unless your soloing and need to cast a lot of heals on your pet mana shouldn't be an issue. Therefor this spell has limited uses. NOT saying its useless, but DPS wise your poison dots will be more helpful.

This spell has one advantage over Scorpion Venom. It sticks on mobs that resist poison. However, the low dps/long duration makes it nearly usless except for long battles.
No need to complain about this one though, as they have given us an upgrade to Scorpion Venum as well.

most mobs you kill you will be killing faster than the duration of the poison dot's let alone the disease dot's. useless imo

buy this spell? LMAO you have to get nodrop glowing runes to get your level 70 spells, and they come to you in order, so you HAVE to get this spell if you want to get your 70 pet, this spell is just a slap to the face for any BL that is level 70, because any beastlord that level can outdps this in 2 rounds of melee.... I think this spell is complete BS and meerly just there to make it harder for a BL to get their level 70 pet. (which IMO should be pretty hard to get since it PWNS)

I think you need to do the math on this one:

Scorpion Venom: 110+(146*7)=1132 damage or around 27dps mana:360
Festering Malady: 78+(72*21)=1590 damage or around 13 dps mana :375

The only place this spell is inferior is in dps. At the same time it does over 400 more points of total damage for only 15 more mana and with its longer duration it is going to cost you a lot less mana in the long run. There are advantages to this spell...even if they aren't what you would like.

its actually I believe 78+ (75*21)=1653.

Still about 13DPS for 373 mana.

main problem I have with it is 2 fold, one is its virtually useless on 98% of every mob you will ever encounter, either Mob will not last for over 2 mins, or Dot will not stick worth a damn.
Seems to me these particular Disease based Dots get wildly resisted.

The only spell I even care about at lvl 70 is the Pet. Hope that is first turn in, because I could careless about the so called upgrade to Ferocity which is not worth the extra 150 mana for a measly 37 extra atk, nor this Dot which i will never use.
The Acient ice spell would be nice, but in 5 years of playing EQ iv never even laid eyes on any ancient spells of anykind, so im sure this one will not exist either.

eh, this spell would still be a little useful if you're kiting stuff.
