Useless spell

This spell just plain sucks... Our rival the Beast lord has a similar spell that gives more hit points but less attack. I'd say they got the better end of the deal. While I do enjoy the novelty of the self buffs (Ward of the Hunter) it would be much more beneficial by taking this line of spell out of the self buff lineup. Atleast that way I can still get beast's Spiritual Vitality or pally's Brells.

I understand we're not an awesome buff class... I don't understand the stacking issues involved with some of our spells though.

An nice upgrade to the group line would be to make the Protection of the wild and the Ward of the Hunter spells group. It does not stack with BBB but a nice alternative to BBB when no pallies around or a better option to BBB depending on your function in the group. Ranger buffs take so many slots and have so many stacking issues that they are usually one of the first to go when people run out of spots. My group buff message says "i won't be offended if you isntantly click off" cause usually it is the tank and ONLY the tank asking for it. I guess the next best alternative would be to make our group spells single targets so we don't spam group with buffs that are just garbage to many classes.

This is the upgrade to Strength of Tunare. Protection of the Wild is SoT, SotP, CotR, and Shield of Thorns all combined into one.

Protection of the Wild
1: Increase Damage Shield by 34
2: Increase ATK by 130
3: Increase AC by 34
4: Increase Max Hitpoints by 125

Currently, I have this spell and Guard of the Earth. When combined with SotP and Shield of Thorns, I get a total of:

DS: 37
ATK: 145
AC: 49
HP: 155

I do not have the 66-70 buffs yet. But so far as I can tell, its better to use the 2 self only buffs and add in the Nature's Precision for the 20 ATK. A slightly better use of 3 slots.

SoT, SoP, CoR are for others. As a Ranger use the self only buffs on the 3 slots.

Will this change with the 66-70 spells? It appears not. One set for yourself, and another set of three for the others inthe group/raid.

This spell looks to be the upgrade to Strength of Tunare. If thats the case then no its not gonna stack with Protection of the Wild. Why don't you do a little spell data comparison next time.

And the next step in that thought is there is also an upgrade to the SoP and CoRathe line. These although taking up 3 slots instead of combining them like our heretofore best self buff, it follows the line of 3 buffs to give better combined buffs stats and then when you look at our higher season spells our best upgrades from this 3 spell set is an upgrade to the bladecoat line and protection of the wild line with combines the buffs into one again.

So, in the end we get an upgraded self buff by 70th and and upgraded set of spells for buffing others, mainly in raids. Although we get no respect for the Sotunare line for not stacking with BSS and SV lines, we still are in high demand for the SoT and CoRathe line of buffs.

I'm happy to take what I can get, and besides, with the possiblitly of getting 5 more buff slots, if the numbers add up that the 3 buff version totals to more overall than the more compact PotWild line best version, I may be tempted to use it instead as I will likely have room for the extra buffs once I spend enough AA's and am level 70.
