Didn't see it clearly stated in the other posts, so thought I would share.

You can trade this spell to someone else after purchasing it from the Nro ldon merchant. Not all spells can be traded, but luckily this is one.
LDoN no more.... ;o)

*** Highlights ***

Welcome to EverQuest: The Serpent's Spine, the 12th expansion for EverQuest!

- Lost Dungeons of Norrath and Omens of Wars spells have become tradable. Additionally, Lost
Dungeons of Norrath spells will have no token sellback value to NPCs.

--------------

not only are they tradeable--meaning if you have points you can buy them for an alt--spending rules still apply on LDoN points though--but LDoN spells are researchable as well.

Damn sony to hell.

The one freaking spell I dont have in LDoN, and I'll probably never get a chance to get... since NO ONE does LDOn anymore.. ( at least not on my server ).

Sony better come up with a way to either research these spells... to alternate quests ... or some way to exchange the current DoN crystals for LDoN points.. so poeple have some viable way to getting the missing LDON spells they otherwise will never see !

I HATE YOU SONY !

And a year or so later, sure enough, you CAN research this spell. I think I'll have my wizard make a few for research practice and see how well they sell!

Been comparing this spell with Immolation of Ro (yes they do stack). The resist rate is a lot higher on this one than IoR, at least for me. Anyone else finding this to be the case?

Given that this spell has a sv fire with -30 modifier and immolation of ro has a -50 modifier, this spell should have a higher resist rate.

That said, if you land IoR first, it should reduce the target's fire resist by 35, making this spell easier to land.

Curses are like that.

I play necromancer. Dark Soul / Imprecation get resisted more then other saves in general
Why It Maybe be Conjuration
# Jan 30 2004 at 2:00 PM Rating: Decent
Whoever was crying about it being Conjuration is an idiot. Back when they origonally changed the DoT stacking rules they made it very clear that evocation dots would not stack due to game balance issues (I.E Stacking 4 debuffing DoTs :x) ALL Conjuration DoTs do stack though thus meaning Sony did not "Hammer" you they helped your whining butt out.
RE: Why It Maybe be Conjuration
# Jul 31 2004 at 2:27 PM Rating: Decent
I'm Sorry i need to correct you slightly on the matter of stacking evocation based dots.
Any DoT (Damage over Time) that contains a Debuff (reduces a stat, or slows a mob's(monster or Beast) attack/spell haste) will not stack with any other same type of spell (E.G Immolation of Ro will not stack with Breath of Ro) however a same or higher debuff will override a same spell series or lower (E.G Immolation of Ro will override (replace) Breath of Ro).
That Said .... I currently have the Whole 'Vengence' line of spells and they do stack, the give away is that
1) They are in their on sub-section on the right click spell selectors.
2) They contain no debuff when cast.
I hope this clarifies this for everyone
(just to be clear for thoose that do not want the explination)
Vengence line will stack with themselves
Do they stack?!
# Dec 29 2003 at 7:09 AM Rating: Decent
Does this dot and the lvl 55 dot, Vengence of Nature, stack? I know Breath of Ro, and Immolation of Ro do not.
RE: Do they stack?!
# Sep 19 2004 at 9:52 PM Rating: Decent
I have all three of these spells and yes they do stack
RE: Do they stack?!
# Mar 27 2004 at 1:56 PM Rating: Decent
i would like to know this too. anyone?
RE: Do they stack?!
# Jul 19 2004 at 6:32 PM Rating: Decent
I can't be sure, as I don't have both spells yet, but my guess would be yes: they do stack.

BoR & IoR do not stack because they also include debuffs (FR, etc) in their effects. Conjuration (and the Curse line, I'm guessing) dots do not, so they probably stack
Geez
# Nov 04 2003 at 12:48 PM Rating: Decent
Why is it everyone just cries on every new spell and never gives the information anyone needs like What theme and how many Adventure points. Instead of crying about how crappy it is.
RE: Geez
# Nov 10 2003 at 12:18 PM Rating: Default
I think it sells for 650 Adventure points at the Takish merchants (Nro).
Not very good at maths but..
# Oct 27 2003 at 1:34 AM Rating: Default
Using Staff of Lost Rituals + Blade of the Tempest + Nature Walkers Scimitar you get a whopping... lets see..

Winged Death(143) + Swarming Death(240) + Wrath of Nature55) + Tempest Wrath (75) + Immolation of Ro(140) + Vengeance of Tunare(300) + Drones of Doom :p (34)

987 Per Tick and thats without focus. Add in Focus from Staff of Lost Rituals and you have a theoretical output of 1151.6 damage per tick. That's pretty sweet :D

Edit : Early morning and getting confused between Druid epic and suk ranger Bashing stick ><

just so you know you can also stack immolate and drifting death on to the stack above adding a few more damge cant remember exact amounts but as a 63 druid i tested i could stack 8 dots and i dont have the vengence dots or the other clicky items just drones and epic clicky so have fun ROOT ROTTING all
Useful

Ok heres some useful info my druid comrads
spell is bought from Takish Ldon camp for 650 points. It cant be dispelled being that its a curse, about the same resist rate as immoliation of ro.

Gluck Druids.. with burning affliction 4 this spell+immoliation of ro+swarming death+winged death does some awsome damage per tick.

360+290+160+170=~980 dmg tick... throw on epic dot and break 1k per tick $$

Does anyone know which theme this spell falls under, and how many points in that theme the spell costs?
this should be evocation
# Sep 17 2003 at 12:54 PM Rating: Default
This is a fire based spell. Every other fire based spell is evocation. All of our prior fire based dots are evocation. This was made conjuration presumably because Sony knows very few druids specialized in conjuration and they do not want us to have the benifits of an evocation specialization on this spell. That is wrong. It should be evoc; Sony knows it should be evoc; we got hammered on every other spell we get in Ldon, they could at least treat us fairly on this one.
RE: this should be evocation
# Oct 03 2003 at 1:14 PM Rating: Decent
This is a DOT. Most druids dots are indeed conjuration. This was most likely done for that reason plus a reason to maybe thinking of specializing conjuration. I know that it makes a Necros choice all the more harder since alter and conjuration are very good choices for a necro.

Just because this is a fire-based spell, doesn't mean it has to be Evocation. Where it is a curse, I can see why it would be conjuration since it would be a different line than a normal DD/DoT Spell. Anyway, like you said, there are very few druids who specialized in Conjuration, but they should get a few spells that are Conjuration where most are evocation, like Winter's Frost and Summer's Flame, etc.

It has been announced that the new spells for LDoN will be purchased from the Wayfarers in the different camps.

What this means, is you will have to go on adventures, earn adventure points, and spend them to purchase your spells.

Interesting way to make sure people participate in the expansion
This is what I have read from EQdruids.com
