One of the factions for this mob is "The Dead" They are the Dark elf Necros and SKs. You will never get good faction with this guy unless you are a Dark elf, or a follower of Bertoxxulous or Innoruk.
His faction is dismal rage. Its very easy to raise via the bone chip quest with Xelha. My wood elf druid did this even in wolf form. By the time I got to dubious to opal dark briar down there, while still a wood elf, I had been max allied for eons to all the dismal rage people (including zhem.)
Some of the confusion is caused by mobs lowering factions when they die, while they themselves are not ON that faction. Like when you con him its whatever your faction is to dismal rage, but killing him you'll lose other ones.
Its sort of like crushbone orcs are only crushbone orc faction. If you kill them you will also lose some small faction with indigo brotherhood, which is only dark elf warrior guild faction (no guards) You could be amiable to indigo brotherhood and be dubious to the crushbone orcs, because they are ON crushbone orc faction.

Was sitting next to the forge just inside the zone from Freeport waiting for a a teammate to use the forge when this wise guy apeared outa nowhere and killed this lvl44 halfling druid in 3 hits.
Never realised there was any threat in this zone, but I'll be a lot more careful now.
I agree with the above posters - level's way out, it'd normally take a lvl45 frost giant 8 to 10 hits to blow away all my HPs, this guy did it in 3.

I have been through here with my wood elf druid countless times, and never have I run into this NPC. Today while running to the docks with my level 14 wood elf Ranger, Zhem attacked and killed me. No idea why, never killed any corrupt guards yet - but still got killed. Can anyone post any facts here regarding him? Would be appreciated. :-)

I ran into him and a female (Barbarian) companion Diana (Something). I am a L12 High Elf Cleric and I ran into them near the West Freeport Zone. He killed me in one hit of 315 points. My Bind was at the South Gate and as I was gathering my wits, they passed me as they were heading out the gate and killed me again. Diana only hit for 81 compared to Zhem's 315. No one knew any reason why, except the fact that it may have been a religious factor.

Found his "faction" He is part of the Bloodsabers faction table. Well time to look at killing Neclo Rheslar in Qhills zone so I'm not KoS to him any more. You can find Neclo near the guard tower on your way to WK.

He is actually on opal dark briar, the evil one in the room next to him. DRIANA is on bloodsabers, but they now moved her to west freeport.
I know this because my dark elf cleric of innoruk is VERY kos to bloodsabers/driana poxbourne from killing that necro guy in qey hills a lot and turning in about 2000 bone chips to lashun and the pally guild in qeynos to get allied with the cleric guild there.
I can tell because she is kindly with the cleric lady from neriak, allied with dismal rage (the rest of the npcs in east freep sewer) Scowl with driana poxbourne in west freep sewer (bloodsabres), amiable with opal darbriar and amiable with zhem xia. So I'm pretty sure he is on opal darkbriar, in any even he is not on bloodsabres.
I was wrong, since then I got opal non kos with my wood elf druid (wolf form and several thousand bone chips) So I was able to hang out there more.
Only opal darkbriar is on her opal darkbriar faction, which that bone chip to Xelha quest raises. Zhem and all the rest around there are on dismal rage, which will be max allied FOREVER by the time you get opal to dubious.
With them all allied and opal dubious while in my normal wood elf form, only that Sax cleric lady from neriak attacks. They don't even help her. So I go down there sometimes and casually skill Sax who is light blue xp still and some good factions.
She really only lowers priests of neriak (or whatever) which I have to way to raise anyway.

Hello all i am a lvl 45 Enchanter on Drinal.
While running through E Fp the other day this Zhem attacked me. I would not have survived if I had not had on sow. The con was Red for me at 45 and he hit me once for a grand total of 315 damage. In one hit mind you. So travelers beware, this spawn is gotta be at least 48 and I personally think that with a hit that hard it is probably 55+ Astlin Loremaster

well 1st off lvl 33 has got to be a lil off. I'm 35 and he is red to me. 2nd the punk attack me. Before you say (well a good race shouldn't be down there) I'm a Dark Elf. Anyone know what faction he is part of. I.E. group. Any help would be great.
