have killed him 4 or 5 times. mos times he do spawn in the SE corner,but once i saw him in the NE corner..
got axe 3 times,staff once.
sold axes for 350pp each(and dropped 1 in guildbank), staff for 550pp.

No, this guy does not summon. I root/ dot'd easily. Also dropped Zeannor's Thesis pg. 16. He spawned in the SE corner of the zone at approximately neg 1518, neg 1500.
Is there a specific location for this dude? Any specific locations on these traps or spawn points would be greatly appreciated!

Just gotta go rock to rock invis. He spawned on myself and druid last night , we were both at 30 % mana, and expecting a Golem but we got Boulder and wqound up having to zone when he was at 19% health due to resists and OOM

i had a lucid shard staff drop off this npc in the grey ! i havent found any imformation on it yet thought ! if you need a link ask tlfettled the druid he has one ! this item is of unknow imformation thru me so far !
Think you have the staff shard of luclin (new research item ) and "a lucid shard" VT key piece mixed up... I'm guessing tho you got the staff shard.

Nope, he is 100% correct. I had a lucid shard drop off a stone beast. IDs as Sel, which is the same one that drops off the Revs.
This guy dropped a Stone Bladed Axe and a Perfect Acryilia Ore (lore, no-drop). Anyone know what it's for? I can't find it here.. Thanks

I killed this guy today - dropped a Polished Stone Staff, Polished granite (or something to that effect), and meteor dust. Conned yellow to me at 53, so I snared him to begin with and sent in pet. Cast DoTs including Bond of Death, Splurt, and Ingnite Blood. He resisted fear over 6 times...so i just let him chase me at snared speed while pet bashed on him...the pet could not catch any aggro - so I just hate kited. Make sure you refresh snare/darkness - because like I said, he wont aggro on your pet - he will chase you down and murder you...but the guy has rocks for brains and he kept trying to catch up with me while pet bashed him into small pebbles. Fairly easy for a yellow and nice loot.

Killed this toon yesterday. He dropped "Smooth Stone Chips" range slot throwing 5/10 range-220. It is a single item that looks like a granite ball. Anyone know what it is used for? One time use throwing item by a LVL 55 mob... kinda suspicious...

Seeing the ratio of the drop of this item, I would assume that this is his UBER rare drop...... yet, it is used for throwing one time. I bet you that would prolly at LEAST be a 10k item. (Sarcasm)

This mob has about the same HP as the shimmering rock fiends, at 54 I was taking those out. His LVL 55 Version popped for me today (even con to me)
I pulled him to the wall with dark, rooted him (he doesn't do to great with roots), layed splurt, plague, and envenomed bolt on him. Used that setup through the fight. I didn't have a pet since using invis is a must when spawning these mobs. I would say he has about 11-14k of HP, but he didn't run me OOM, just low. Easy mob to kill, he has just a bit less HP than the sun revanant's (pointless mob unless you are trying to get the shard's)
He dropped the Stone Bladed Axe for me.. /sigh, was hoping for the 1hb.. oh well, back to "rock hopping"

The staff you're talking about is the Polished Stone Staff - I just got one also, wanted another Stiletto :(

be careful the boulderlings here summon, I found out the hard way, a ******* light blue to a level 57 and it killed me....couldn't escape the summons.

Stonehand is popped by the traps in the zone. Sand traps normally pop Xakra worms. Rock traps can pop several different fiend-like mobs (boulderlings, stone beast, Shimmering Rockfiends, Stonehand, and Boulder).
Get an invis and lev. Pop around from rock to rock trying to trigger traps. When you see "a creature of living stone" you've popped the rock trap. If you're lucky, you got Stonehand or Boulder.

Some traps are static, most are mobile. Mobile traps will spawn anywhere in an area and once triggered, they will re-appear in a new location 18 mins later. Static traps pop in the same spot over and over, with an 18min spawn time. They're not entirely static however... with each server reset (update) the static traps move. They'll re-pop in the new location over and over, just gotta find it again.
I've gotten Boulder and Stonehand several times by locating a static trap and just triggering it over and over every 18 mins. Stilleto is pretty rare tho.
