pet

I had a griff pet! Dang if it isn't nice having a pet that hits for 101 and roots and dots the enemy. It mowed down 3 consective blue mobs before charm broke and I decided to kill it.

Charming is always risky, but here's my method. Snare, terrorize, put on the cha gear, and then charm. Fear again when it breaks. Refresh snare and recharm. Snaring your pet and the new mob is key so you can survive when it breaks.

Higher lvl than that can be found

I have run into several that have con blue to a lvl 52 Druid.

The cast spells so keep a dispel around in case they root you ;)

Easy to root, dot, kill though but are very quick able to run you down with sow.

As far as I could tell, the spells they were casting were level 34 druid spells. It "fire" nuked my character and dotted my partner. My partner said that the DOT was Drones of Doom.

It was also hitting with typical griffin abilities (fast and hard). I saw several hits of 138... I am not saying that is its maximum damage though.

It is not quite as fast as wolfform. I was able to avoid it long enough to get some distance to cast Terrorize animal on it... at which time, my partner and I made a hasty exit.

Yeah they cast. First time I zoned into wastes I see: A Snow Griffion begins to cast a spell (I have a heart attack. A GRIFFON WITH SPELLS!). I quickly realize im bound in Greater Faydark still. A Snow Griffon regins its concetrations (whatever that message is, and realize its not attacking me). I crawled up off the floor and checked to make sure may pants were clean.

I found they cast spells when my lvl 39 wizzie cast bonds of force on it and it tried to root me. I was kiting it along and I resisted several of its spells and had it down to about half health. Then a dire wolf jumped into the fight and I ha had enough and beat a hasty retreat to the zone. I wasn't hurt much bt any of the spells but the dire wolf kept interupting my casts so it was time to go.

I was killing these last night and had about 8 or so under my belt when one resisted snare, I am a level 49 druid and had greater wolf form up and this griff was FASTER then greater. I never got another chance to snare him. I could not get away and he was hitting me for over 100. I died very quickly. Moral of the story is, do not kite these solo. And yes this was a snow griff not an elder.

Grimfeather sow speed. Hits hard, casts dots and heals itself. Have fun.

These guys are friendly with the elder Snow Griffs. I was out near the huts when I saw an elder buffing, and SoWing the regular snow griffs. I had a level 54 shaman SoW on, and was pretty fast, but these guys SoW'd still out ran me with no problem.

One of those rooted me when i was lvl 44. I had no buffs at all, so my magic resists was quite low, but it canceled sow/wolfform.

Fast

When they aggro, they fly faster than SoW, and hit hard and fast.

They are also faster than Greater Wolf form, which is faster than sow. Found out the hard way :P

They arent as fast as Form of the Howler tho. 63% speed increase SoW at level 57.
