These guys are Tough, they cast ALOT and hard i was down there (lvl 52 monk) with a (51 ranger) and we were both killed, see the problem with the klys are they have dmg sheilds and unless u got a caster or someone to debuff them, your screwed =)but the ones that do not cast can be taken down VERY easily (as long as they dont have dmg sheild from the other casters). So take a nice group down there, make sure u have someone to heal you.
Actually if you can figure out what damage shield they have cast on the you only need a caster who can cast the same shield, have him cast it on them and due to the fact that players cant buff an uncharmed mob the new damage shield will cause both to be overwritten and therefore dispelled. Learned this fighting Drachnids in Dreadlands I imagine it will work on these guys as well. GIve it a try and let us all know how things work out
I am sure it wasn't just one mob. The danger in Dalnir isn't any one specific mob (other than the kly or overseer). The danger is with balanced groups. There are almost every kind of class represented here. There are necros, SKs, Wizzies, Clerics, Warriors, Mages and rogues. You get a healer, nuker, pet class and a tank and you are in real touble, no matter what level you are. I did dalnir for days first for exp and later working on the viceral dagger quest and have seen high 50's slaughtered. If you don't know the place, be very careful here.
As far as the damage shields go, the most common one you will see in here is Banshee aura, which is a self only spell so you will have to go with cancel magic to get rid of it.
There have only been confirmed reports of them dropping off of caster sarnak mobs. Also the only type of sarnaks that drop other decent sarnak items like ceremonial dagger, etc. Only item confirmed to drop off of warrior type sarnaks is that weak 1hs weapon that procs sicken or whatever.
