I tried to farm crude silk in a few zones and Dulak's Harbor gave the best results for me.

Confirmed drops of crude silk off these mobs in Dranik's Scar:
  • Filthy rat, blightscorge rat
  • Dragorn commoner, Dragorn peon
  • Ukun, ukun slaughterhound
  • Kyv, Kyv bloodhunter, kyv heartpiercer, Kiltarn the Sharp
  • Noc, Noc havocblade, noc darklurch
  • Murkglider

Probably drops off virtually anything in the zone. This is just my experience thus far.
