I can verify that this mob will spawn at both the north and south entrances to the Blightfire Bog.
Placeholder seems to be 'a briar thorn' but I did not continue hunting to verify that it doesn't spawn in place of 'a gnarl thorn'

Finally found it today to complete Blightfire Moors Hunter achievement. Cleared the briar thorns etc from the southern entrance to the swamp 5 or six times and he finally popped.
a marsh creeper cons as "a rare creature", level 29.
Casts druid spells including Spirit of Wolf, Healing, Careless Lightning.

where in Blightfire Moors does this bush spawn?
He spawns near the entrance to the marsh/swamp. He is a random spawn from the gnarl thorns and briar thorns that hang out there. More than one can be up at a time.

Just as i finished posting my reply to a message below i went back to game and lo and behold he was right in front of me... i was doing the hardy seeds quest at the time... he did appear amoung the briar thorns and howling briars at the southern entrance to the marsh area just east of the crossroads...hope this helps

Where do you find this mob? I had my ranger track Blightfire and can't seem to find him.

DITTO....Had ranger everywhere and not to be found. Got a area to lookin? north, south, ease or west? Is there a place holder?
It's been awhile since i killed it but i think i remember it being among the briar hedges at the southern entrance to the swamp area... i wish i had taken a picture and uploaded it then... but since my hard drive since failed any picture i did take was lost...i think it is probably a rare spawn...i havent seen one since...
